Very good Shoes.
Asics make great shoes. I have used their shoes for Tennis for many years, and they are the most comfortable Tennis shoe made for me. These general use shoes are so comfy. Their prices are creeping up, and I hope Asics manages to keep their shoes reasonably priced.

Good good shoe
Super good support! Feels like you’re walking on a cloud. The only reservation I have is it’s a little tight around the ankle when lacing it and tying the shoe stringsI would buy it again, but make sure it’s comfortable around the ankle when tying the shoe strings

Design problems in newer years
I left these shoes a single star simply because I know people tend not to read anything but the good and bad. It isn't THAT bad. However, there are design problems that ASICS and buyers should be aware of.The primary reason I am leaving this review is due to the design changes of the sole of the shoe. As you can see from my photo showing the current Nimbus and one from 2-3 model years ago, the sole has become very large and blocky. The difference between earlier models is even greater. The net result is a wider and more impact softening shoe, but the sole is so large now that I have certain gym equipment that I can't fit my feet into the heal-cup of the stirrups anymore. In particular, I can't use these shoes on Matrix rowing equipment making it problematic as my gym shoe. The second reason I am reviewing is because ASICS has moved to the softer fabric material in the toe similar to older Cumulus models. The design is very comfortable, but has a habit of wearing through the toe quickly. I haven't yet worn these long enough to prove out that defect exists in this model, but the material and design is similar to others I have the problem with.

Super comfortable!
Right out of the box these fit like a glove and feel like you're walking on a cloud. The only issue is the tongue padding is non existent. Therfore, tying your shoes tight for your run cuts circulation off on the top of my foot... not fun. Because of this, these aren't great for running for me. I'll be keeping them as the most comfortable shoes for walking or casual wear.

For fellow flat-footed—these might be your holy grail
After years of pain (especially in my left foot), I’ve learned: ‘stable’ shoes with aggressive arch support (like the Kayano series) make my collapsed arches worse. What actually works? Maximal cushioning + a wide arch section and flat base—and the Gel-Nimbus 26 delivers exactly that. Why these stand out:✔ Zero arch intrusion – The spacious midfoot lets my pancake-flat feet sit naturally.✔ Plush but responsive – Gel cushioning absorbs impact without feeling mushy. If you’ve tried ‘supportive’ shoes only to end up in *more* pain, give these a shot. They’re the first pair that actually *respects* my flat feet.

Very comfortable, nice looking
I bought these shoes for fitness classes, then saw that they had a new model and bought a pair of those too, intending to return the ones I liked better.Well, I didn't want to return them and kept them both. I wear these as regular sneakers, the others for exercising. They're extremely comfortable. I use them with arch-supporting orthotics, and they still have a huge amount of spring.
