Good shoes for good price but rubs

I got these yesterday and wore them for my workout. They were a little snug (narrow) than other Asics I have purchased in the past, but loosened up throughout the workout. When I was done, I continued to wear them for a bit, and they began rubbing my ankle/achilles area. Hopefully, this goes away with time - this is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. They do give me better arch support than Nikes do, which were the shoes I had before I got these. Apparently, these shoes are designed for people who have overpronation.

Ouch!!

I’ve worn this Womens Gel-DS Trainer 23 for approximately 4 months. From the beginning, as I put these on, I’ve had to “flatten” both edges of the tongue which often roll under onto itself, causing quite a bit of discomfort while wearing. Evidently, they are now permanently rolled/folded under, causing pain and I need to frequently remove sneakers to adjust/flatten the tongue. This is definitely an unpleasant manufacturing issue. I should have returned it but now it’s too late. Kept it because of the arch SUPPORT for my wide, flat feet; they definitely lack cushioning.I also purchased the Women's GT-1000 7 Running Shoes. these do not have the tongue manufacturing issue, good support. What has happened with Asics cushioning??

Not the old ASICS quality that I was used to. I do like the color of these shoes- they look sharp. Also, they are nice and lightweight. They do not have much support though... I only run a couple of miles at a time so it isn’t a big deal for me but I could see someone who runs a lot wanting a better shoe.

Performance runner with a more versatile look

I have bought most of the versions of the asic gel DS Trainer for women over the years. I have a narrow foot, so find these fit me perfectly. They have a bit more room in the toe than the last pair I purchased, which I like. They feel like they have a bit less support in the arch, but really have the feel of other versions after a few weeks wear out of the box. All in all, I love them and would recommend them.

Been wearing this model of ASICS for over 20 years and never had an issue. I know these are an older model of this shoe and I’ve actually had this color combo before without any issues. Every time I wear these I get massive blisters on my heels. I’ve given up on them and unfortunately they are going into the trash.
