Great kick around sneaker; not ideal for running for my feet
The 8.5 fits perfectly, but the 9 was too big; I am normally a 9 in all Asics. The return process for the 9 was a breeze! I like these sneakers, but I wouldn't use them for running, because I pronate and need a little more arch support and I wear the Nimbus for running. I can fit my orthotics in these, too, but I will likely just wear them around, coaching, and maybe for other exercise that's not running, and likely without the orthotics. They are comfy and kind of remind me of the Nike Free Runs, but these are a little more supportive for my foot than the Nikes. And they look good! :) I understand what others said about the wrap around the arch, but it didn't bother me--it actually feels good that my arch is being held up.

though it isn't painful after a full day my feet are slightly achy
Cute and very lightweight. I am not using these for running as I require a lot of cushion, so these are everyday shoes. Will note the pink color on the top of the shoe (navy shoe with pink and light blue coloring) that goes down to the sides are elastic bands that are attached to the tongue. It could be an issue if you have high arches as its fairly tight and does press down on the top of the foot. I have a normal arch and I can feel it, though it isn't painful after a full day my feet are slightly achy. These will probably stretch out with wear. The foot of the shoe was pretty stiff the first day, but by 2nd day of wear are super comfy.

Great, comfortable shoe- when in doubt Size Up!
I teeter between 7/5 and 8s and I got a 7.5 because at the time the 8s werent available and I was being impatient. These shoes run slightly small so to anyone deciding between sizes, so for the larger size! I also have wide feet and these fit great on my fred flinstone feet. I wont let me poor judgement on the size cloud my review for this shoe, however. They look and feel great- and have been comfortable for the few times i've used them- I typically only wear then in an indoor gym setting bc i'm in the northeast and its still too cold for me to venture outside to exercise just yet.

Very versatile shoes.
I love this fitness shoes. They are very comfortable to wear and they look great! I have been using them for daily activities and for the gym, when lifting, doing cardio or on spinning class and this shoes provides the support and wears comfortably for each one of my exercises’ routines. They are lightweight, the quality of this shoes very good. I will purchase this product all over again and also I highly recommend these shoes to everyone whether they are fitness active or not. These shoes exceeded my expectations. I received this item for free or near free, in exchange for my unbiased and honest review.

Perfect for High Intensity Interval classes
I purchased these shoes in November and am back for more in April. These have become my go-to shoe for exercise classes. As a personal trainer and fitness instructor I am on my feet all day and need a good shoe. I have many pairs of sneakers of various brands and styles. These are the best for teaching high intensity interval classes that require a lot of jumping around and fast direction changes. There is ample room through the toe box for the toes to wiggle around. The sole does not slip on gym wood flooring. Huge plus! The elastic strap across the top initially felt too tight but then I got used to it and like the stability it provides in the shoe.Good heel cushioning and overall support. They are low profile but not minimalist shoes so there is support and cushioning in the foot bed of the shoe. The sides have an extra layer of fabric which along with the elastic strap provide excellent lateral stability.Shoe sizing varies with brands and styles. I tend to look at the European size because that is a better indicator of shoe size than the US size. I always wear an 40 Eur and these 8 1/2 Asics are true to size.

Good for everyday errands/walking-- NOT good for jumping/side to side/pounding the pavement
I purchased these shoes with the hope that they would be able to withstand a Jillian Michaels workout; lots of jumping, lunging, side to side movements. Bad idea-- there's just not enough support or cushioning. They're very cute & lightweight, so it's not a complete loss... I'm using them as walking shoes on a paved bicycle path. Also good for running errands, and things of that nature. **If you're looking for a great workout shoe that can stand up to plyo & sideways moves, I recommend the Asics Gel-Venture 5 Running Shoe-- my feet & knees no longer ache after working out.** For reference, I'm in my early 40s, 5' tall, 105 lbs. I typically wear a 7.5, that's what I ordered & the fit is perfect.

Snug fit. Not the best for high arches.
These shoes hug your foot. The crossover straps ended up being tight on my foot because I have a high arch on top. At first the crossover straps were so tight that it left a red mark on my foot and it really hurt. I remedied this by changing the lace style (see the photo). I don't have high arches but I have a high bone on the top section of my foot. After changing the laces, I am very satisfied. I have narrow feet so I try to find shoes that have a snug fit. These are the right amount of snugness. I work on my feet a lot and these are pretty comfortable (I haven't really had shoes that were "more comfortable"). My biggest con is the heel is the section on my foot where I feel the most fatigue.
