Great arch support, good heel cushion.
I love these shoes; they are so comfortable and full of support. I had an issue with plantar fasciitis from wearing old, broken down shoes. I immediately went out and bought these (the only comfortable ones that fit me at Dick's sporting goods). They solved my foot problems and have been my favorite ever since. I have a high arch and heel pain, and these provide lots of heel cushion and good arch support. I'm an ER nurse and work long 13 hour days, and my last pair of shoes lasted over a year before they started to feel broken down and in need of replacement. They kept my feet from dying all day with the walking. They held up really well except the soft part at the top, behind the heel, gets worn through really quickly and the fabric shreds to a hole. But it didn't cause any problems, just looked cosmetically bad when I wasn't wearing the shoe. No holes anywhere else. I will now buy these regularly because I know they fit and that's a hard thing for me to find, as a size 11. Great quality.

Great shoe, proper fit, excellent service and price!
I went with what would normally be a 1/2 larger that my current Asic running shoe and found the fit to be perfect. As others have noted, Asic sizing seems to be a bit variable depending on the model and the country of origin. My last pair of Asics fit tighter than I had expected for in my "normal" 43.5. My new shoes are 44.5 and feel roomy but not too loose. I may have been lucky, but these shoes fit me well and are very comfortable to run in. The bonus was that the price was low, the delivery was quick and the seller include 3 pairs of of Asic running socks as a Christmas present. These shoes were a replacement for old my Asics GT-1000 and are a much better shoe all the way around.

Feels tight at first, but perfect given a little time and testing them out.
I'm not really used to proper running shoes and haven't tried that many, but I've recently started to take working out and running seriously so thought this was well worth the investment. As far as I know, I always wear size 13 from almost any brand. When these shoes came and I tried them on, the very first feeling you get is that they might be a tad bit too small and tight. But after wearing them for a good amount of time, loosening the laces just a little and trying to wiggle my toes they felt right and pretty perfect. Snug yet still breathable and allows you to move your feet around. Running and exercising in them became a whole new experience for me in comfort and I actually performed much better with them which is pretty amazing.

Remember to order 1/2 size larger than your regular shoe size.
These are good, comfortable shoes for the average runner. I've been wearing various models of ASICS for about thirty years and have never been disappointed. There are a solid shoe that wears well, and I should know based on 50-70 miles per week in training. Although a little heavy for racing, they will not let you down on training runs. Be aware that they run a little small, so order accordingly.

Comfy, well made shoe
I've been a fan of Asics shoes for the past few years and love the comfort they provide. Now, I'm not a runner and will likely never be one. But I do workout and jump and move around quickly and these shoes are comfortable and offer good support. Too many shoes I've had in the past just don't stay comfortable and will fall apart within 6 months and that's common for most shoes sub $70. These are an older model, yet are a high end running/sport shoe that are comfy to wear all day on my feet, or when I walk alot while out and about the town. Where other shoes have failed me in the past, these shoes hold up and my feet are never sore that night or the next day like they used to be.Even if you aren't a runner, these shoes will make your feet happy if you are on your feet alot in a day. Since I've had Asics before I knew how the shoes fit and that I didn't need to worry about how they fit. If you have big wide feet, don't try to cram your feet into a medium/regular sized shoe and opt for the wider versions of your size.

Do NOT size up!!!
I was reading a lot of reviews about this shoe, and lots a people were saying that the fit was tight and to size up by 1/2. Do NOT do this. The heel does not have a hard plastic cup to lock your foot in. instead they added more padding back there to essentially lock your heel in. It’s nice, it works. The shoe is tight when you first put them on. They WILL break in. The heel padding does mold to your heel and downsize once broken in. If you go up half a size, these will break in and the heel might fit, but your toes will be swimming around for days looking for signs of support but will not find any. Do NOT go up 1/2 a size.

Love my ASICS!
Have loved the ASICS 2100 series since it's beginning. After they started over converting it to the 2000 series, I could not wear them for the first couple of generations due to foot pain with them. That being said, for the last 2 or 3 generations I feel the 2000 series has been getting closer and closer to the original 2100 series. I have had to move up 1/2 a size for awhile now (as have many other people, according to multiple reviews on the ASICS site) but I have worn the same size for the last couple of generations. I used to get a 9.5, but had to go to a 10 with the most recent purchases. So these fit as expected since I know they've run small for a couple years, now. These ASICS have been the cure for my plantar fasciitis for YEARS. I have tried Brooks, Saucony, Nike, etc, over and over, & always to return to my ASICS. Maybe I just have special feet, but, seriously, these shoes have been a Godsend for me!! Hope they work as well for you!
