Amazing mid weight hiking boot.
This is the evolution of the traditional hiking boot. Great fit out of the box. I love this boot so much I bought a second pair after going on my trip.Wore them on two short hikes with less than 30 lb pack before 15 days hiking in the back country of Eastern Oregon. Wore them every day, carrying a 50+lb pack of trail in rugged country with no issues.Never developed a blister. Never had any slip issues. laces stayed tied.Gore-tex liner worked as expected, A+ as always. DWR was good.Traction was sticky and sufficient on bare rock, gravel, dirt, hard pack, pine needles. I never had a problem with sliding. Side hilling up very steep terrain was comfortable. The shank gives plenty of support without feeling too stiff when walking with no load.I love this boot so much I bought a second pair after going on my trip.

Asolo boots are the best fitting boots I have ever bought. I have owned three different versions of hiking boots, both leather, and the lightweight summer hiking boot. The only complaint I have with my latest purchase ( Falcon EVO GV MM) is the shoelaces that came with them. They are super thin, nylon laces, that you can’t keep tied to save your life. I’ve tried every trick in the book to keep the shoelaces from coming undone, but they just won’t stay tied. My suggestion to anyone purchasing this boot is to throw away the shoelaces that it comes with, and purchase your own decent shoelaces.
