Great boot!

This is my second set of Falcons and I love them. The waterproofing started to give out on my first pair after a couple hundred miles, but they wrecked trails in the Ozarks, Rockies and Cascades with no problems. Lightweight and durable, they’re well made, fit to size and comfortable. I do replace insoles every so often, but otherwise, they lasted about what I expected. Obviously, the right boot for you is the one that fits, and everyone’s feet respond differently, but I’m definitely an Asolo fan.

Comfort from first day

Great fit and soft like a slipper. No break in period and no hot spots. Sole works well in snow and wet surfaces. Have used for city walking and trail walks. Very comfortable. Prefer a heavier boot for hiking in mountains but I bought this boot for trails and a lighter weight boot. Excellent quality and value

Comfortable, durable, give full movement

Had these for about a month and for great from the start and feel great!I wear these 8-15 hours a day doing lawn care. They breath well without letting any dust in at all. Absolutely amazing boot!Extremely light weight and comfortable. They allow you to stay on your toes more for running, quick movement and better control.Durability seems good so far. I have gone through asolo Fugitive Gore-Tex boots with my job in 8-9 months sometimes a year. Normal wear the Fugitive Gore-Tex would last 3-5 years. (Before I started lawn care full time)We will see how they do but so far I am extremely happy with these!

Awesome boot, too expensive!!

Too expensive. But I love this boot. Wear it all week at work. Waterproofing doesn’t last long, a few months at best. The sole wears down fast. I have to replace every two years. Super comfortable, looks great, flexible. Oh and the laces always break easier than any other shoe I’ve ever worn. Buy extra laces for it, but it requires very specific laces to fit.

Asolo Falcon GV, size 10.5, great for narrow feet

I was looking for a light-weight boot for city and park walking and this model of Asolo is perfect. It is super comfortable and I can tell there will be no break-in time. Decades ago I purchased a heavy-duty Asolo hiking boot which I still have for mountain hiking. These are size 10.5 and I was hoping that this boot would still be true to size. Luckily, the length was not skimped on which isn't unusual in some shoes sold today. Highly recommend. I love the laces and hope I can fine a similar pair as a backup on Amazon. The text on the box is French and English, but nowhere can you find where the boot was made.

I really wanted to love these boots, BUT...

I've had these boots less than 2 months and as you can see in the pics, they are completely falling apart. After putting on approximately 70 miles the cuff around the top is tearing from the boot, the decal is peeling away, the rubber around the toe box is crumbling away and the soles have started to crack. This is completely unacceptable specifically when viewed in relation to the price. The boots should hold up a lot longer than 2 months. I wouldn't recommend these boots to the outdoor community. Maybe they're good for urban hiking.Update 10/17/19: After over a month of trying to return these boots, Backcountry, in typical fashion, admitted that this should be covered by their warranty but disclaimed responsibility for replacing the product and punted it to Asolo. (Backcountry is just one of the worst outdoor companies out there. It never honors its warranties.) And after nearly a week of contacting Asolo, I heard from them today that they will not honor their own warranty because they advised me that this is "normal wear and tear" without ever inspecting the boots. This is a joke. Don't buy these boots. Asolo is just another company that has sacrificed customer service for profits.

Excellent boot

I have a pair of the Fugitive boot, and have always been impressed with the construction, fit, and durability of that Asolo product. I was looking for a lighter weight hiker, and this one is just perfect. Very lightweight, and comfortable right out of the box.
