Thought I'd made a mistake ordering these...
I thought I'd made a mistake in ordering these, size 9 2E. For one thing they cost a lot - for another I thought size 9 might be a bit too small. Before I put them on, comparing them to my Nevado Mesa boots size 9.5 M, they looked small and too narrow. The Nevados cost only a fraction of these Asolos, but have proven to be quite comfortable if not exactly heavy-duty.But putting the Asolos on with lightweight socks they felt great, not too tight or pinched, just a bit stiff at first which is not unwelcome and what I expected. Walking around they feel good, no rubbing. Tomorrow a short hike of several miles will tell, but they feel fine so far, fitting my feet well. I'm happy so far!Update: After the hike - about 4 miles with some steep ups and downs - I am still happy! These are good boots (and they should be, for the price!).Addendum: I saw one review of these boots on the internet, where the reviewer says you cannot or should not use aftermarket insoles with these boots. I won't say that's nonsense, but I will say that's not my experience - I've put in insoles to replace the somewhat anemic, barebones ones that come with the boot and they work just fine, making these boots even better.

I have gone through about 6 pairs of these and have never had an issue. They don't really get worn out, but look a bit gungy. I pass them on to my neighbor who wears them on the ranch. I originally got them on the recommendation from my foot doc as I move my right foot back and forth sideways when I walk.. they have built-in anti-pronation control. After all these years it is the only boot I will wear. I wear them daily to keep me stable. I have issues with my sacrum going out and these boots help to keep that from happening. I do have a pair of foot levelers I put in them. I am a gal but I order the men's boot because I wider feet and men are more comfortable than the women's model, which is called Stynger.I also have to say I have never bought them on Amazon or Zappos... maybe that is why I never have problems with them

Lots of haters of this boot.. not my experience at ALL
Got these boots as a gift, hiked all over the PNW in them this past summer (2018) and I can’t state enough how much I love these little machines.Comfort: 10Stability: 10Lightweightness: 10Traction: 10Style: 11That’s right...an 11. I look $&@?ing great in these on the trails. Perhaps I’m a little bit biased... but the style is rad.I usually wear a size 9.5, got em in a 10... fits like a glove.. especially with my crazy wool sock fetish.I’m not a navy seal, or a contractor.. so I can’t tell you that they would hold up in those conditions, but if you want a comfortable hiking book that protects your ankles, and gives you ZERO foot fatigue, then look no further.. slap down that credit card number. You won’t be disappointed.
