Big and Heavy
Make sure you have enough space in your closet, or really sturdy rack for these boots. Also, these are not for weak legs. We are talking about 40lbs shoes here! Yes, I exaggerate, but this is beyond just “heavy”.Yes, they are made very well. No, they do not feel “natural” on your feet. They remind me of old slalom boots I had to wear back in a day. Huge, unbending, where your foot is trapped.I wanted to like them. But I did not. In fact, it was such a relief to return them! Best decision ever! After trying these on I realised all my Oboz boots that were “too clunky or heavy” are like cozy socks and hold fantastic on the trail.Hiking in Asolo boots would be more about being able to maintain a hike in these boots. I doubt I could enjoy nature wearing these heavy burdens.Still give two stars: one for leather quality, another for the effort that was put into construction of these tough beasts
