Best water sandals ever and I have had many!
So I have gone through many water sandals over the year as someone who spends a lot of time in the local lakes, ponds and rivers around my house. These are the absolute best. I love them so much I’m probably going to get a second pair right now in case they ever stop making them!Whether you are kayaking, hiking through riverbeds or just wading in to an area that’s a little bit mucky, these shoes will not disappoint! They dry quickly, they have absolutely no smell to them and they secure really well to your foot. Unlike a lot of other brands that use Velcro, the life jacket fasteners are much better and offer a quick release. The back can be worn tucked into the side so you can wear them like a slide or they can be tightened up when you are really needing a secure foot placement. The foot bed actually offers a lot of support and the bottom is incredibly sticky so you feel really stable on slippery rocks. Note that I have a narrow foot and a low profile and pretty flat arch. So finding shoes that fit securely has been no small challenge. However these are very adjustable and I think they would fit all but the widest feet.Only downsides I have seen: the quick release buckles have come loose a couple of times when I snagged them on branches. But because there is a mesh liner and a back strap the shoe still stays on your foot just fine. They also have a nubby bottom on the foot bed which takes a little bit of time to get used to but now I really like it. They also only come in whole sizes. I am a 9 1/2 and I sized up to a 10. My boyfriend tried the men’s version and he is also in between sizes. He found a 10 to be too small and the 11 to be too big.
