Avenger Boots No Animals? Not Quite.
The only animal that I know for sure was used in the testing of these safety shoes was me (lol.)This review is for the Avenger mid top heavy duty canvas alloy toe boots. They remind me of a modern version of the Israeli combat jungle boots. The Avenger boots fit true to size, not too large not too small, and they appear to be made of little-to-no animal products.* Canvas upper instead of skins or hides, and yet they have passed OSHA muster, and meet the ASTM F2413-18 safety rating that employers require.The only thing I would suggest to the manufacture (maybe) is a heel loop for being able to grab the rear portion of the shoe when putting them on. No loop is no biggie though, I guess it does make them less prone to snagging on something.So far the Avenger boots made it through one shift with no pinching, no sore spots, and no hot spots. I appreciate that the boot comes with flat laces that were laced such to not be digging into the top of the foot when being pulled tight.Anyways, if you were on the fence about these don’t be, the Avenger boots are a well made pair of safety shoes that will get the job done. They have the same anti microbial footbed under the insole that my Nautilus slip-on safety shoes have, and they have the identical non-slip oil-resistant sole that the Nautilus safety shoes have as well (see pictures.)*I have not verified with the manufacturer whether or not this specific line of safety boots are indeed animal-product-free. Besides.the skin or the hide of the animal, the glues that are used along with other considerations in the manufacturing process might have included animals too, something to think about eh?If you don’t care whether your stuff is animal-harm-free, or if being kinder to the rest of the world is not your cup o’tea, oh well (smh) you’ll still dig these boots, they are a comfortable, lightweight, no frills, safety boot that you will be happy with. One of the best pairs of shoes ever owned in my life. The versatility with different outfits and different environments is unmatched. These are very strongly made and keep you safe within a reasonable weight. The safety toe has come in handy so many times for me. They are very comfortable and easy to wear in and shape. There is a mild arch support that is helpful. They are extremely slip resistant and waterproof On the front and sides. The top of the laces are will allow water to enter. Thick padded inside feel like you're almost wearing a boot but not as stiff.

Worth the purchase.
9 months of almost daily site use, and still holding up. Heels are tough and wear down slowly. Add a insole/insert and they get the job done in comfort. Great product, great price.

Workers Trusted Shoe! Actually Durable!
Absolutely love these shoes! Nice and wide and fit just right! I’m a 6”2 250lb man and these shoes have lasted over a year with a solid steal toe to go with it! Very durable material used aswell! I will be ordering another pair of size 13 soon! The grip on the shoe is great for the money you can’t get a better lasting shoe!

A comfortable, durable safety toe shoe with very cool style
If you need a waterproof or water resistant shoe, look elsewhere. If you splash water on this shoe, your foot is going to be wet, that's just how it is. But if you're using these in a relatively dry environment, you can count on this shoe for a lot.First of all, it looks cool! Like an old-school sneaker, but slightly chunkier with a bit of padding.Second, the safety toe and non-slip sole offer a ton of protection. I've worn these shoe's in kitchens and to concerts and in both cases my feet feel quite protected.Lastly, these are quite comfortable! There's not a ton of unnecessary arch support or heel rise, the insole and midsole offer a good amount of give. The high rise ankle is nicely padded and offers decent support. I've gone 14+ hours in these things without batting an eyeI would recommend the wides, though. The toebox in the wide size is just large enough for my feet, so I can't imagine the standard width is terribly comfortable... Generally that's my advice for any safety toe shoe.
