Solid Durable Shoes for First Steps-if they’d stay on.
I want to love these shoes so badly, but right now they just will not stay on. I have tried them with socks and without socks, and they are flung off with the very first kick my 6 month old delivers. That part has been frustrating. That said, they are extremely cute and thoughtfully designed. The soles are solid and thick, which feels like a great choice for those first steps. The checkered pattern is sharp and really stands out. There is a slight curve to the sole that seems meant to help with balance, plus a pull tab on the back that makes getting them on much easier. I also appreciate the rubber covering over the toes, which should help protect little toes from their first stubbed toe moments. The tongue stretches open easily and the fabric feels like a thick elastic band, almost sock-like, which makes putting them on simple.I suspect they may just be a bit big right now, even though they are technically his correct size. I imagine once his feet grow a little more, these will fit better and I will absolutely love them. Until then, they are going into his baby box for sure, because they are far too cute and well made to part with once they are outgrown.
