Not for Wide Feet or Calves
These boots appear to be well-made and warm. However, I have very wide feet and muscular calves, so both the shaft and foot bed are too narrow. The Eigers seem to run narrower in the foot bed than the Tundras, and the shafts are about the same. If they fit you, even though pricey, probably money well spent in very cold climates.

Phenomenal boot.
I can’t say enough about this boot. It’s a little chonky, but super comfortable. Very warm so far. I bought as a replacement to my Bogs that I have had for over 10 yrs and loved. But we ice fish and the bogs were no longer keeping my feet warm on the ice. We live in N.Dakota so it gets cold. So far so good. It’s only been a month so far but no complaints. Will update review after we ice fish in January if they don’t keep my toes warm. But at this point I’m really happy with them.I recommend going to their site and letting them ‘fit’ you for the correct size, then come back here to order. I normally wear a size 7 in men’s and they recommend an 8, so that what I ordered. Perfect fit.

Good for 10 or 11 years.
I've owned Baffins before. The new Eigers are replacing my Baffin Doug Stoups.I only wore my Baffins for snow clearing so essentially maybe 6 hours per year. After 10 years, the rubber uppers deteriorate and break apart like chocolate, rendering the boots useless but I had them for a decade so no big deal, as you can see in the photos the Eiger is shorter but just as comfortable as my old boots, notice the old tread is hardly even worn but the uppers are completely destroyed.Like other reviews tell you, you need to buy a larger size than usual. I'm an 11,1/2 foot and the Baffin 14 fits perfectly. With those quirks aside, these are great boots that keep your feet warm & dry in the coldest and nastiest conditions.

Great boots!
I bought a men's boot because the women's were too small around the toes. I also decided to go with Velcro straps instead of lace ups like the Shackleton. I also compared the Eiger to the Selkirk which is not quite as warm as the Eiger. The best all around fit was the Eiger. The heel was just right, unlike the Selkirk which was a little sloppy. There was more distance between my foot and the ground in the Eiger than the Selkirk, and I liked the extended gator on both. The Selkirk is listed as waterproof because of the front seam that is sealed. The front seam is not sealed on the Eiger which I would have preferred, but if necessary, I can use seam sealer on it. I use a middle weight trekker sock which works fantastically in the boot. My toes are really toasty. I doubt that I will be in -138 degree weather, but I went with the Aiger because my feet get cold easily and I will be using them mostly for winter photography where I am standing still a lot. If I were doing some serious hiking in them, which I doubt, my feet might get overheated. I usually buy a women's 8.5 in boots with a medium weight sock with plenty of toe room. I fit the men's 8 in the Eiger. I wouldn't want it any smaller. They are also exceptionally well made, very comfy, and easy to walk in.

and spent a great deal of time both moving around
After quite a bit of research and patience, I ordered these boots for our frigid Minnesota winters; specifically for ice fishing. I was finally able to wear them out for the first time during our first polar vortex of the season a few weeks ago, when actual air temperatures were -29 degrees, with a -48 degree windchill. I was fishing a tournament on the lake the entire day, outside on the ice for 9 hours. Not once did my feet ever feel cold. I wore a pair of wool socks (wool is crucial since cotton will make your feet sweat), and spent a great deal of time both moving around, and sitting stationary. I couldn't be more pleased with them. So far, I've spent a few hundred hours in them and am still incredibly happy with the purchase. Yes, they are a bit bulky but for what you get in comfort and warmth, they're well worth the minimal extra size and weight. I did order a size and a half larger (per the suggestions) and I'm glad I did. They fit perfectly.

Warmest Boots Ever!
Bought these boots for winter camping in the hills of WV. Handled snow, water, ice, mud, everything else with ease, even damp -20F evenings. Specifically bought these Baffins since they were recommended for active and sedentary cold-weather activities. They did not lie.Be sure to use the sizing guide. I wear a US 12W, it recommended a 13 which fit perfectly. I chose the Eiger over the Impact as I wanted the velcro closures over the buckles. Incredibly easy on/off. Liked them so much bought the Impact (she wanted buckles) for partner. Great boots!
