Run at least one size small
The shoes are comfortable and warm and have a good grip sole in wet and snow conditions. I ordered a size larger than I normally wear when only whole sizes are available. I wear a 91/2 to 10 depending on the shoe. I ordered an 11 and they fit perfectly. They are a bit larger that a regular insulated shoe and they are stiff. Not terribly though.I usually wear a wide sized shoe when I can get them and these shoes while not sized as a wide shoe have enough volume to allow me to wear a heavy weight sock in them if I chose. Snug fit.Not sure how the shell will hold up in the really cold but so far have not had any problem while wearing them in single digit cold. One other thing, they are grey just like the pictures show even though they are listed as black.

Great boot!
Had to order one size up to fit heavy socks, but very impressed with these. After my last pair of winter boots wore out (live in Minnesota) I had been looking for a boot that was warm, waterproof, and could be used for around town or hiking. These fit the bill on all accounts and have been very happy with the purchase. If you like outdoor activities in the cold, these are for you.

Liner takes 2 days to dry out.
Any sweat at all over a 6 hour day of hiking results in damp to wet liners. In a warm, low humidity living room these liners, removed from the boot and insoles taken out, took over two full days, 48+ hours to dry out. I will not take these boots on an overnight outdoors trip due to the extremely slow drying time. It seems Baffin's R&D comes up short in all their boots to either save money or they just don't test their products well. Oh well.

Unrivaled, with some little nitpicks
First of all, I have to say they absolutely do not run small. I am a natural 11M US with my feet being just a hair smaller than 11" long. In a lot of footwear, especially insulated, I have to wear an 11.5M US. I wear a 10.5D heritage boot.11 in the Borealis fits perfectly. They are a little bit snug at first, but this is the design of the boot. If they are not snug, they will not insulate and isolate correctly. My only real gripe with the boot is that, because of the sealed rubber-like shell, your foot sweat will show on the inside of the shell. I really wanted the red color, but if anyone is going to see your boots it's probably best to get the blackout version. It's kinda gross. These boots do keep your feet WARM, not just "not cold" while maintaining a low weight and great maneuverability. The treads DO NOT pick up snow, which is incredible. The sides do pick up and carry a bit of snow, but slamming your foot on the ground fixes it right away. Traction is excellent on snow and frozen ground. Ice traction is 3/10 if you're walking casually, and 9/10 if you're walking like you know how to walk on ice.For my serious-weather winter boots, Baffin will be my go-to for life now.

Outstanding & Unique
Really appreciate these shoes! They keep my feet toasty, not sweaty, when the temp drops below zero.
