I'm very happy with these boots

Overall, I'm very happy with these boots. I had read that they ran large so I ordered a size smaller. The fit couldn't be more perfect for my foot.I also had read that the upper part was tight. They are tight but not uncomfortably so.So, here's my take on it all. Written to mostly help anyone that is in a similar situation as I. I'm almost 64 years old. I have the normal pains and complaints that go with that age. Plus, I have A-Fib, which means I become winded easily.I have a little trouble putting these on, but, only because of my age and physical problems. Nothing at all to do with the boot it self. I just have trouble getting a foot up to my other knee to get it started and then pull it up. Since it's a "Snug" fit, it takes a little effort to pull them on.Once I have them on, the fit is PERFECT. Foot and leg. I've only worn them with blue jeans on and I always put my pants on the inside of the boot. It takes a little work to get the jeans pushed down inside. Once they're on and everything is all set, they really are very warm and comfortable to wear. I've only been outside with them on for about an hour at a time in Michigan Winter. My feet have never felt the least bit cold whatsoever. It's a hard "Sensation" to explain, but, when I have them on, my feet and legs feel Really Good. Just a "Tad" of pressure, but in NO WAY the feeling that you get from a pair of shoes that are too tight and painful. I know that feeling, and this isn't it. You do feel "Warm & Secure" in these boots. If that makes sense. Many times when I come in from outside, I take off all of the heavy coats and cloths and hats and gloves, but, I leave the boots on for a half hour or so more before I take them off, just because they actually make my old legs feel good. Taking them off is a somewhat easy process of just putting the toe of one to the heel of the other and pulling your foot out. No real effort at all for doing this.Another thing I noticed is these boots are rather heavy. I'm telling this story not to make it sound like a critical comment, but rather, an observation for anyone that is less than a young person and in great physical shape. A normal youth. I'm older and things like this are more noticeable. Once I have the boots on, they don't "Feel Heavy." I do find though, I have to make a conscience effort at first to "Pick My Feet Up" when I'm walking or I kind of want to trip over my own feet. After a VERY short time, it's second nature. At first though, you'll find yourself stumbling a bit. A few minutes later, all is good. No noticeable extra effort or exertion to walk in them.I've written this review to be "Older Person to Older Person" because, that's what I am. All of my observations would be Moot if I were 30'ish.I'm a person that accepts the facts that my age and condition do indeed effect my use of a product. I write with that understanding and honesty too. I'm just Telling The Story. No intent to make it sound like a criticism. To be sure that there is no misunderstanding, I have Nothing negative to say. They're really good boots. Well made. Very Warm. Even the tags that were affixed to them when I got them were high quality. You can tell that the manufacturer and the people that made them have a lot of pride in their product and workmanship. Best Regards, Russ

Another great Baffin boot

Have had 4 pairs of the Hunter model over the the past 12 years and they have always been very warm and comfortable. Decided to try the Trapper. Taking the advice to size down on half sizes I got the 10’s as I have always gotten in the Hunters. They fit somewhat snugger and seem a little higher on the calf and are a bit more rigid with a more solid sole and better traction. Very warm in the Colorado mountains. Great boot!

Best boot I’ve worn

I live in the mountains and have worn most makes of rubber boots in the last 60 years . These are the best I’ve worn and they’re NOT made in China ! Slip on easy, comfortable and no heel slippage . Fabulous boot

Good and warm

They are great to keep feet warm and dry, but the rubber cracks after a small amount of time. I use them for nightly chores in the winter. About 6 months.

The Trapper Exceeded my exception

First off I was worried about folks saying they run large in size so since I wear a 9 1/2 I ordered a size 9 and they fit perfectly, they are comfortable and I use them on 1/2 mile walks every morning and snow removal so at 10 degrees is the coldest I have used them and no cold feet. Also, they are easy to slip on and off for taking the dog out for a short potty trip unlike some of the other boots on the market. Hopefully they last because I am really happy with them so far.

Great Boots , But,...

Good Boots Very Warm I've only tested these down to -1 and they are warm I've used Baffins for Years and never had an Issue with them, The tread on these are better than the Hunter and the Refinery boots, only Problem with these is the Shaft around Your Calves its way to tight Baffin should redesign these with more Room in the Calve to Tuck in Your Pants leg or Coveralls They didn't Consider these would be worn with Layers lol, Great boot with that only Drawback I did Order these one size down and they Fit great, But if you have large Calves or intend to use these with Layers they won't work for you

Warm

These are some of the best boots I've worn for hunting and fishing. I had a pair years ago and got away from them. I'm glad I purchased again. Keep my feet dry. I wear them in the deer stand and ice fishing. So fat my toes are toasty warm. I wear 11 to 11.5 shoes. I bought the 11 boots and they fit great with mid weight wool socks. Snug with heavy weight socks. I can't remember how long the last pair lasted, but I'm hoping for the best. They seem over priced for rubber boots.
