Perfect slippers for the pickiest of cold feet

I bought these slippers for my mother-in-law. She has perpetually cold feet. I searched long and hard for a pair of slippers that would fit her. Her extremely high arches and wide soles make most slippers impossible for her to even put on, let alone wear comfortably. I figured if sleeping bags for your feet wouldn't fit, then nothing would. She absolutely loves these things.Because they're sleeping bags, almost any foot shape will fit into them. The adjustable drawstrings are great. They do not have "arch support" because there's no hard sole to them, but they are padded all the way around. The soles are a bit slippery, so be careful if you or the person you're purchasing these for has poor balance or isn't very surefooted. You won't be sliding around like you're re-enacting "Risky Business," but the anti-slip sole is a little lacking. I'm sure adding the anti-slip slipper soles to these would solve that problem, if it was a concern. The soles will also probably wear down quickly over rough surfaces or if you scuff your feet a lot, but that's okay. These are not meant to be outdoor/wet weather slippers. If the swishing sound of a sleeping bag bothers you, don't buy these. I don't mind and neither does the MIL, but they will obviously *swish* with every movement. There's no sneaking in these slippers.Overall, I may get a pair for myself someday. I tried on the pair I bought my MIL and, I gotta say, I was a little jealous. Great slippers, decent price, and a happy MIL!

Very warm and comfortable slippers!

Had these slippers awhile back but thought I would write a review on them now. They are very very warm and very comfortable slippers. I wouldn't reccomend wearing them outside as the bottom gets wet and soaks through quickly. They are durable and will last a pretty long time if you take care of them. I dont think they are worth retail price but when we bought them they were one sale for around 9 bucks which is a steal. My biggest con on these is the bottom of the slipper, the material tends to wear out pretty fast even when worn only indoors. Also within time expect the material to start bunching up inside the slipper. Now other then those two gripes these things are really comfy and fit nice and snug or fit nice and loose depending on what you prefer. There is a toggle type tightening system that runs around the opening. This is great to keep drafts out or to loosen them when its a bit warmer. They are extremely lightweight but they dont fail in keeping the feet warm. I had mine for about a year then the bottom fabric started wearing out, thats with wearing them everyday in the winter months. Still regardless for 9 dollars you cannot go wrong.

Like sleeping bags for your feet

Well, they are clearly the warmest slippers I’ve ever worn…and I’m a bit of a slipper officianado…. True to size. Only caveat is the price. There must be a million cheaper slippers on Amazon. These are warmer than the others, so up to you how important is.

Better than okay, but not great.

First off, I would have given them a 3.5 if possible because they are better than "okay", but 4 stars denotes "like", and I don't really like them, also mine were black. It is funny in a way that what everyone raves about is what killed it for me, so maybe I just got a lemon pair, but I do not feel like I am walking on clouds wearing these, it is the foot bed sherpa-esque material that I don't like, I found it kinda scratchy and it bunches up under my toes as though they didn't extend it all of the way to the front seam, though it does, it just bunches up under the toes and I don't curl them to cause it either. In comparison, it is a similar feeling to wearing sandals that are too short in the front and your toes hang over the end, and admittedly I do have long monkey toes. I barely wear them and the heal area is already crushed flat to the floor as well, I would not wear these outside because I know I would feel a pebble, stick, or what have you easily with these on, they barely provide any cushioning which is why I don't agree that I feel like I am "walking on air".The rest of them I do like; They are grippy although they make a sticking noise on my hardwood, and the other materials are nice and comfortable, I like the "shell" material which is easy to clean, and they are snug and warm; That being said, surprisingly they do not over-heat my feet, and I am a hot-footed individual so that is a plus. Also, I have not noticed any signs of wear on the bottoms, but again I don't wear them often, maybe twice a week for a few hours when I "need" them. For reference, I am a male size 10 so I ordered the X-Large and the fit is good, not too tight nor too loose, so they slide on and off with ease; They really are like sleeping bags for the feet. In summary, I would have liked them better if the material did not bunch under my toes, and I have tried multiple ways to "flatten" that area out but it won't, like there is extra padding underneath just in that one spot or something, and the second thing was the cushioning, which I found lacking. A small object like a pet or child toy, or outside like a small rock or twig would still hurt when stepped on, especially if the object had sharp or pointy edges.6/1/2014 Update: They no longer make the sticking noise on hard floors, which is obviously due to dust accumulation on the treads, like sneakers, so that is just a temporary thing. I still have the bunching under the toes, mostly on the left foot, but they are growing on me, just not enough to increase the score.

A lifesaver

I have very poor circulation in my feet where they hurt very badly when cold. I was looking for a loose fitting slipper that I could fit my feet into while also wearing thick slipper socks, so I ordered a size larger than what I would wear. How perfect. I have gone from painful icy feet on the cold kitchen floor to toasty warm and comfortable. They truly have done wonders for my physical well being.Yes they are slightly bulky and sort of funny looking but I didnt get them for fashion. The soles are soft so if you're looking for more of a shoe type of slipper to wear outside, these are not it. But if you need to warm your feet with multiple layers, this is what you need.
