The Perfect Boot for Really Cold & Snowy Winters!
Bought 3 pairs of boots before finding these. They were the only pair that fit my son comfortably. They are so different from past boots we've bought. They are extremely comfortable & VERY WARM! Great for the subzero weather here & super easy for him to get them on & off- important to a kid trying to get out for the full recess. They seem to be well made & durable. We've spent hours in heavy snow & no cold feet! I've even worn these boots myself outside without socks in 10 degree weather and my feet were toasty! I am surely sold on Baffins. The only negatives I might add is that they are big (which we really haven't had a problem with) but because the uppers are not fully waterproof they work best if you pull your winter pants over them. The few times we've tucked regular pants into them we've had a small area in the top of the back that can let moisture in if you're running around in the snow but I suppose that should be expected. Overall, these are a GREAT BOOT & I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

My son loves his boots!
Bought these for my 6 year old. He said they are cozy and fit good. We got snow for Christmas so he got to try them out. He was in and out all day. His feet stayed warm and dry. He said the traction on them are awesome! He was stomping and kicking snow great with these! His dad told him they might be better than his and he might need a pair in his size! Super impressed with the quality.UPDATE... We are on vacation in Wyoming in snow country. The boots work great if you have gators. We were ringing water out of his wet cold socks. These do not keep his feet dry at all without a pair of gators. The top half of the boots are not waterproof so in deep snow they get wet. Will not buy again.

Best boot ever!
Sending your son out in the cold? No worries about his feet. This is the second pair I've bought for him in four years. We buy them a little big (size 7 this time) and they do not show signs of wear or tear. Four hours outside, in the snow, and he had warm feet. He said "Everything was cold except my feet" on his scout's honor I tell this to you.They fit my mom size 9 foot and I borrowed them while I shoveled the driveway. My big thick Columbia boots aren't this good. My feet stayed warm. They are more wide than women's sizing so I think I'll buy a youth 7 for myself.You can wear regular socks, no need for bulky ski socks and still be warm.Only drawback from my 11 year old son "Don't wear them in a hot building or your feet will fry."So bring gym shoes and make a switch...like at school...which he does.

Bulky, but warm and comfortable
These boots are very big and heavy for a small kiddo, but they work well for him as he has wider feet and others weren’t comfortable on him. They have enough width in the toe box for him and have kept his feet warm and toasty.

Awesome boots
My kids LOVE this boot. This is our second pair of Baffin Young Eiger Insulated boots. My oldest daughter grew out of her first pair and wanted the exact boot again, and my younger daughter was thrilled to "inherit" the smaller pair. This is a sturdy, waterproof, extremely warm boot for having fun during "real" winters. This is not your average boot... not even in the same league as your average off the shelf boot and light years away from the big box store boots. I ordered a size larger than current shoe size so my daughter can wear them for two winters. There is enough padding to keep feet sturdy, but cushion enough to expand when they grow. Can't say enought good things about this boot. It get's an A++.

Sturdy and rugged but huge
Bought these as well as the Baffin Igloo Snow Boots and ended up returning these because they were huge on my 8 year old. The sizing was large plus they are really tall. I would put these boots in the "extreme" category of outerwear. Going to take your kid to ice fish in Minnesota? Get these! Want something they can play in the snow with after school, try something smaller.

Hands-down the best snowbirds you can buy
I’ve been buying Baffin boots for the past eight years for my boys. We live in Wyoming & there are some months where the temps can drop to -20° and you could literally go outside in these without socks and have warm feet. They are like walking on fluffy pillows wrapped snuggly around your feet & angles. VERY COMFORTABLE & supportive on top of the unbeatable warmth. They are bulky almost like wearing snowboarding boots but you seriously can’t go wrong with Baffin boots if you have cold winters. I’d honestly never consider buying any other brand.
