I ordered these Ballet Shoes for Women Canvas Performa Dance Slippers Split Sole for Girls pale pink ballet flats because I was looking for a pair of flat shoes I could wear with my new pink floral Easter dress.I have a fairly messed up neck and back (fusions, broken neck, odontoid fractures, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, spinal stimulator) and mobility issues; I haven’t worn heels in years. I was trying to find shoes to wear with this year’s new Easter dress, a vintage inspired floral with Victorian style notes, and I thought ballet flats could be cute. I was pleased to find these real ballet shoes; I haven’t worn a pair in quite a few years.These shoes are made from elastic canvas; the soles are a thin, flexible sueded leather. The show have a wide elastic criss cross design over the instep; this helps keep the shoes in place.I remembered from ballet class many years back that the shoes are quite narrow. I usually wear a size 9, but I ordered up to a 9 .5. This size fit nicely; they weren’t too tight in the toe box.I’m lucky to work from home (I’m a writer) and I’m barefoot a lot; these light ballet slippers give me that barefoot feel. They look sweetly old fashioned with the long, flowy skirts of my Easter dress. They’re quite comfortable; I like the look so much that I’ve tried these with a couple other skirts and dresses, too. They look great with the maxi skirt lengths that are currently trending.I ordered these in the Light Pink color; I’m quite pale, and these are a good match for my skin tone. These are also available in Brown and Pink, all delicate pastels.I know I’ll wear these a lot in the coming spring/summer months. They’re perfect for weekend getaways, tiny, lightweight, and easy to slip into your purse or weekender.I can’t really speak to these as actual dance shoes; with my mobility issues, it’s been years since I’ve taken dance class. But they’re light, comfortable shoes that you can wear with a wide range of clothing; I love the old school, slightly vintage, romantic aesthetic of these ballet slippers.
