Great shoe!
I purchased these for my adult daughter to wear to a family wedding. She has flat feet and is not accustomed to wearing heels, so we wanted a low heel. Because of the way her foot tilts in a shoe, I wanted it to hold onto her heel vs. allow the heel to slip out of it as she walked or danced. Those were our main criteria when selecting these shoes.The shoes were delivered in a plastic bag instead of a box. But they stayed in shape well, having been stuffed by packed tissue forms, so when they were opened, there was no strange shaping. Of course, like just about anything ordered and wrapped in plastic for shipping, there was some off-gassing and odor, but there was none left by the time she wore the shoes.We measured her foot length and width and compared it with the sizing chart to choose the appropriate size for her. According to the chart, size and fit were perfect for her.Please watch the video about how to close the strap - it is super easy & will hold, but I did not watch the video first and had never seen a buckle used in this way, so it took us a minute to figure out. That said, it is super easy to close the strap! My daughter’s finger dexterity is not strong, so just needing to slip the buckle through the hook enclosure is simple and clever.As for comfort and stability, she danced in them the first time she wore them. She had good traction (and we walked across a parking lot and up a long sidewalk on the way into the church, so she had opportunity to naturally scuff them a bit on the way in), had no issues with slipping.They looked so adorable on her! She says they were comfortable to wear, and she felt pretty wearing them. The quality is nice - especially for the price we paid, it does not break the bank! - and it matched her dress color perfectly.All in all, this was a great purchase I am happy I made for her. If she needs another pair in the future, I will not hesitate to buy her another in a different color.
