Dance, (and Run, and Jump), the Night Away
If I could give these shoes more than five stars I would. I rarely do video reviews, but I am so happy with the comfort and look of these shoes, at the risk of looking foolish and losing my dignity, I decided to post a video showing just how comfortable and easy to walk in they really are!For reference, I am a 63-year-old woman who, since my retirement five years ago, rarely puts on a pair of heels. These heels are so darn comfortable that it’s almost like wearing a pair of flat shoes. As a former shoe, (and clothes), hoarder, I used to have dozens of pairs of stiletto heels but I can no longer wear them like I used to. Those things take practice and now that I’ve retired and I don’t wear heels anymore, there is no way I could wear them without killing myself. But nothing beats the elongating effect a pair of stilettos gives your legs. And now that I’m shrinking in height (5’7 1/2” to under 5’5”), in my old age, need that now more than ever. The hidden platform on these shoes makes the heels look higher than they really are. And needless to say, it makes you and your legs look longer and taller. And the style - timelessly classic. I remember as a child being fixated on my Barbie’s peep toe, sling back pumps. They’re sexy and versatile. You can dress them up with a suit or dress and you can dress them down with a pair of jeans or pants. I loved them then, I love them now.I would have loved to have been able to buy a pair in black as well as nude, but since I can only get one pair right now, I picked the nude. You can’t go wrong with a nude colored pair of shoes because they pair with virtually any color you have. The price for these shoes is very reasonable as well. I had a pair of shoes just like these when I was still working, but they are worn out and chewed up so I had been trying to find a replacement pair. I looked everywhere and I found a used pair identical - even the same brand (9 West), as the ones I had, but they cost more used than these shoes do new. One important note - I recommend going a half size up. Others had mentioned they were too tight or small. Normally I wear a size 7, but I got a 7.5 and they fit perfect. If you want a pair of heels that look high and miserably painful, (haha), but don’t want the pain and misery, you definitely want these shoes.
