Great shoe, just might not work for every foot type.
I saw a YouTuber talking about these types of shoes and was intrigued. After looking at several different options and comparing costs, I decided to try these. I was pleased to see that they came with a pair of cotton toe socks, so I was able to try them right away. The quality of these shoes is great. I saw no loose threads or visible flaws. Once they were on, I thought they were comfortable. I walked around my house a little bit to test them out, and I realized that the big toe spaces were just too short. I wear a women’s 9 shoe and I ordered a 9.5. The rest of the shoe fit perfectly. Looking at these shoes from the top down, the toes are pretty straight across. So if your big toe extends farther than the rest of your toes, these shoes may not work for you. I had to return these, but I asked for a larger size for christmas, so hopefully the new size will work out better for me.

2nd attempt at toe shoes in 2 decades
I first tried a pair of "toe shoes" many years ago when they first came out and became popular. If I remember correctly it was really hard to get each toe into its appropriate spot in the shoe, so I got annoyed and rarely wore them. We live on the beach on the coast of Florida (and we have dogs and kids), so there is always sand on the floors in our house. Luckily we're all tile flooring so it's relatively easy to get off the floor, but annoying to walk on with bare feet when you keep feeling sand and grit. I ordered these shoes so I could still feel barefoot (which is my preference unless I'm playing sports!).The first thing I do when I look at a pair of shoes to purchase is usually check to see if the insole is removable; this is because as a former runner I know that most athletic shoes the insole will wear out long before the outsole/midsole/outside will, so I like to be able to replace them to get more use out of the shoe. So I pulled these out of the box, checked out their exterior (seems well constructed from good materials), and then pulled the insole out. BIG mistake - getting those individual toes on the insole back into the toe sections was less than fun. This isn't a negative on THIS shoe manufacturer, just a quick reminder to everyone - if you pull it out, you have to work to get it back in.Now, I've worn them around the house for a few days and they are comfortable. A little to get used to, but overall I find they are defifnitey more comfortable than what I remember from my past experience. I'm slowly learning how to extract my feet without pulling the insole toes out of their hidey-holes; I think ensuring that you keep your toes pressed down lightly as you draw them back out of the shoe works best from what I can tell so far.I'll update with any future learnings, but so far the price is right for a specialiized shoe, and the quality looks spot on!
