Great!! Bought these for my son who is a barefoot shoe enthusiast. He was pleased with the quality, and shocked when he learned the price ($23 dollars on sale). He did take out the insoles because he said they created a non-zero drop situation. After that he said they were perfect. Same sizing as Whitin brand. Styling is great on these, sporty and youthful. Looking at picking up the other colorways for him.

Unlike the appearance of some barefoot shoes on the market (which look like pool shoes), these can pass for regular everyday tennis shoes. The sizing is spot on; sometimes it can be a little tricky ordering shoes without getting to try them on. I like plenty of room for my toes to spread, so I am glad to say the wide toe box is as advertised. I have a few pairs of supposedly wide toe box shoes that are, shall we say, optimistic with the term 'wide'. The soles seem to be a good all-purpose tread which will grip on most surfaces; I do not know if they are slip-resistant on oily surfaces or not. More than likely, if you are on oily surfaces you should be wearing more substantial foot protection, but more slip resistance is always good. I am unsure on the insoles - I'll try them out for a day or two but I usually remove insoles from barefoot shoes. I wear them almost exclusively inside; both around my house and in the gym. The breathability is hard to judge at this time, it being fall in Florida means its not hot nor cold enough to tell if my feet will sweat or freeze excessively. They do appear to be more breathable than normal shoes. I haven't bought any products from this brand before, and am impressed with this first item. I will order from Zooflex again. You have to go expensive on work boots, not on minimalist footwear. I always buy cheaper barefoot shoes, I see no reason to drop a few hundred dollars on shoes that use less material, especially when you can get this kind of quality for much less. Good purchase, I can recommend these.
I have really wide feet and usually buy 4E extra-wide shoes so I was really excited to try these out. The shoes seem to be well made with sturdy materials and they fit like a dream, true to size with a generous amount of toe room. I own several shoes with low heels, but it's been a few years since I wore shoes with zero drop, so I knew they would feel 'funny' for a while. I wore them around the house for a few hours before committing to wearing them all day and they felt really comfortable. However, when I walked for extended periods on hard surfaces I realized they don't offer a lot of cushioning. The rubber used in the soles is firm and the foam insoles don't offer a lot of arch support or cushioning. When I got back home I swapped out the insoles with some gel insoles I bought for another pair of shoes and it transformed the feel of the Barefoot shoes. So much more comfortable than the thin foam insoles that came with the shoes. If you need wide shoes I would encourage you to try a pair, but be prepared to upgrade the insoles.
The shoes are lightweight and the wide toe box is great — my toes finally have room to move. However, the sizing feels inconsistent and they didn’t fit as comfortably as I expected. The design is nice, but I wish the fit was more precise.
These barefoot shoes are lightweight, flexible, and very comfortable right out of the box. The wide toe area lets feet spread naturally, and the zero-drop design feels great for walking and everyday wear. The material is breathable and the sole has good ground feel without being too thin. A great choice if you want comfort, mobility, and a more natural step.
These are decent barefoot shoes for the price. They do run large - not only with an extra wide width but also with length. Because this comes in whole sizes, I ordered a half size up for my husband. Instead, I would have been better off ordering a half size down. He would still have some extra room in them. They do have a cheaper look to them, and the insoles look like they won't last terribly long, but this is reflected in the price.
