Not waterproof but warm

I keep searching for the perfect zero drop winter boot. These are pretty good. They are NOT waterproof. They are however very water resistant. I took a hike yesterday in these. No socks. 37 degrees, in the mud and wet leaves. Crossed a little stream. Stood in it for about 15 seconds just to see. My feet did not get wet nor were they every cold. If I had gone in up to the laces yes of course water would ge in. If I stood in there longer who knows but for just getting across a stream they did just fine. I was quite comfortable on this walk. I did get caught in a heavy rain storm while wearing them a week ago and they were soaked through. That said it may be that the water ran into them from above rather then getting in from below.I love the sole thickness on these. Most zero drop shoes are much too thin. These are just fine with walking on large gravel and stones. I also felt the traction was decent on these. I was on wet muddy ground, some places were clay and on a hill, which can be quite slippery. I felt like they performed well and was not feeling myself slip much as I walked.I did follow the recommendation to order 1 size larger than my usual size and they fit perfectly. I would find them too snug with socks on but so far I have not really needed to wear socks with them.

Warm, comfy, get a larger size

I wear a men's 10-1/2W or 11 (depending on manufacturer). After reading the reviews, I ordered these in a 12.5 mens. Good call - they fit perfectly. They're soft, comfortable, wide enough to fit my feet - and very, very warm. Great for being outside in winter; inside, I have to switch to crocs before my feet catch fire. (But I have to do that with all my other shoes). The only ding I can see so far is the sizes advertised do not correspond to typical US shoe sizes. So go at least a size larger than what you normally wear.

I LOVE these! I don't love that we get no warning they're shipping from outside the US.

Very comfortable, easy to drive while wearing. Winter footwear here in Colorado is heavy snow boots ... well... when there's snow, clunky hiking boots when it's more icy than snowy. Both make driving with them on pretty hazardous, as it's hard to feel the 3 pedals and the normal two, when wet, encourage my foot to slip off - not good while driving! None of those issues there. Good grip, I can feel the ground, but not as much as in my good weather 'barefoot' shoes - also good - since they keep my feet warm and dry without being clunky. I'd really be much happier paying a bit more to purchase them stateside, however. Or at least have a clear indication they are being shipped from somewhere in China.
