Highly recommend!

I haven't had these very long but have worked full days in them several times now. They are a little on the large size. I wear a 13 and shoes never come in half sizes that big it seems, otherwise I would have returned for a 12.5. Seem very well constructed. Insole seems very nice but had to replace because I have extremely flat feet so need orthotics. Kept my feet dry while standing in water over the toe. I'd assume though that water would penetrate midway up the sides where elastic starts. So far so good. I'll revisit this review after a few months of wear to see how they hold up. I expect well.Been wearing for work daily now for awhile and there still holding up great. Still comfortable still keeping out water. I'd buy again if these ever wear out. It'll be quite awhile if/when they do.Update. 11/12/17I’ve now had these for about 4-5 months. I wear them everyday for work. Still holding up just fine. Sole is not worn out and still waterproof. I’m not sure about others who say some wore out quickly but maybe they drag their feet. Idk. Mine look very worn because they are but are still perfectly fine. I’m a plumber and find myself standing in nasty sewer water at times and these protect my feet from any moisture which I very much appreciate! I still highly recommend these boots and plan on purchasing another pair when these finally do wear out.

Comfy boots but outsole wearing out in six months.

I loved this boots until outsole wearing out so fast. I weared this boots for approximately 6 months and water started leaking thru hole on outsole. Found holes on outsole, it just wearing out.I don’t think I walk more than any other average person who wearing safery boots. Nearly $150 cost boots only good for six months, I wouldn’t buy it again and I wouldn’t recommend this boots to anyone looking for slip on safety boots. Not a crappy boots, just outsole wearing out so fast.

Comfortable, built well.

These boots were a nice fit out of the box. The shank is tough, the composite toe is durable and rugged. These feel like a more comfortable pair of my structural fire boots with the same speed to put them on. The only issue I think there might be in the future is how loose they may be around the ankle after several months of usage. Other than that, a very nice pair of boots. (I would love to see Bates get into the wildfire/structure fire boot business)

Super comfy and you can feel the support as soon ...

Received these today. I will never have any other work boot again other than Bates. My boss, 195lb firefighter stood on the toe of these after I put these on and I didn't even feel it. Super comfy and you can feel the support as soon as you put them on. These are sharp looking and I know Bates makes a quality product as I had my last pair of Bates for 2 years, working in them everyday as a fire inspector and they are still in good shape other than the zipper failed. Super happy with these. I wear an 8 in womens shoes and the 7m actually fit me perfectly with an average sock on.

but not too comfortable. Have had to replace the insoles already

Boots have been used daily for approximately 3.5 months. Discovered today that the liner of one heel has a hole worn in it. Boots are light, but not too comfortable. Have had to replace the insoles already, and the composite toe is a bit too small, causing calluses. The outsole is a bit on the harder side and you will be heard. The leather is soft and moves with you while the toe cap helps protect against cuts and abrasions keeping the boots looking well.

Great boot. I got these March and they are ...

Great boot. I got these March and they are fantastic. A little upset though the price has gone up. These are nice but wouldn't spend over $100 for them. Try and get them on sale. In March I got them for $90. They do kinda slide around a bit depending what I'm doing. Like if I go down a hill my feet slide forward. But for my typically application they work great. These are worn daily for work. The best thing is how easy and quickly they clean up. A few brush strokes and they are like new.

Lasted about 10 months

These boots were very comfortable and the fit was great, but they didn't last me a year. They started leaking in water about 4 or 5 months ago and now the stitching is completely coming apart. I'm a field-based support person and do a lot of walking, but don't do a ton of labor - I think they should have lasted a bit longer.
