Fits perfectly, very comfortable, light weight, good support.
Bates did it again. ive been wearing the g8 or gx8 steel toes for work over 10 years. gave these a try and im glad I did these shoes/boots are fantastic.
These boots are great and comfortable.
The shoes are very nice but they are very narrow I need “EXTRAY WIDE SHOeS.” That is the reason I return them
I'd rate these boots lower, but they should work great for you if you size up. You just have to rely on reviews like mine to warn you to size up. The warning didn't come in time for me.It's too narrow in the forefoot, in the area they call the shoulder of the foot, if you go by your measured size like I did. Sure, you can insert your foot quickly because of the wide opening, but then they are death grip tight! I can't use them. Had they been bigger, I'd be okay, I believe. Either they should have made them wider, or it's all good when you're properly sized up, as I see it.What they say about the heel to toe drop is absolutely true. If the boots weren't excessively too narrow for me to use since I didn't size up, I would have enjoyed the feel of this heel to toe drop. It feels very responsive for forward motion, as if you've got extra liftoff. I won't find out how this would feel to wear all day because of the problem I have with the fit, but for those who get their correct size, this heel-toe drop may be a real benefit. The materials appear very good to me except that the shoelaces are probably a little too short. The sole and the outer appear to be made of good materials that will last through some hard wear. I consider the narrowness of the front part of the boot to be a major flaw unless you're sized up. You can tighten the top all you want but you've got to make sure the front fits, and that's only going to happen if you get the right size for you.
I’ve been wearing bates for over a decade now and just switched to a lower height and they are still a great boot! I have worn boots for Fifty years and Bates is the only brand boot I will ever buy. Our feet deserve the best!!
