Have had these for 3 years now, true to size, good price and good quality. They have been used often but the sole is still in good condition and the scuffs don’t tend to stick around. I don’t need inserts because the inside is still in good condition- no foot pains even when I wear them all day.
These fit like a dream right out of the box. I have a wide foot so finding shoes that work for me is tough. These look great in uniform - no shine needed. The tongue is a little tough but i’m sure over time the material will soften. I’m sure i will get many wears out of these!
Been using these for 2 months. I always get compliments on the shine and they look good still. Breaking in process wasnt too bad. Little sore but no blisters. I have a normal foot. No extra high arch, not super flat or extra wide or anything. I am a true 9.5 and can wear a 10 if i have to. I purchased these in a 9.5 and they fit like a 10. Roomy but doable. Comfortable and durable. Non slips. Good for restaurants, but you’ll still slide in grease like many non slips. I will purchase these again. Most non slips are ugly or uncomfortable or both. Happy with my purchase.
i have the unfortunate luck of being in an AFO for a while (ankle foot orthotic) from a terrible accident. i will be in it for about 6 months to a year. i am a big "heel" person and unable to wear those too! i am not a fan of flats or sneakers and was on the hunt for some shoes to wear with jeans or dress pants that would appear "fancier". these are them! they are shiny, comfy and cool! also have a great tread so they are keeping my safe since i am still on crutches for a while. thank you Bates!
I really like these shoes! They fit well, the shoelaces are well made and substantial, the shoes are very light in weight and I enjoy wearing them withmy uniform. Oh, and I received compliments on how nice and shiny the look.
Besides the fit this is an excellent shoe. I tried purchasing the model 742 from another vendor the fit was very narrow and too small. So I purchased the duty shoe model from Amazon buying a size up based on how the other style fit. So I am in between sizes apparently. The toe box is really wide and if the length was right may have worked perfect. They felt comfortable when I tried them on. I have a problem with sizing as I wear a ladies size 4. There are definitely duty shoes as they have a rounded toe not the oval more feminine style of the 742. There is no way to try these on in the store as no one carries them. I will keep trying though. Love amazon for making the return so easy.The soles on these shoes fall apart and crumble soon after purchasing. This is not at all ideal when in military uniform. It was a total embarrassment to be in the middle of a military ceremony and the shoes fall apart all over the place.I purchased this shoe several times and the same thing kept happening. I have few options given my shoe size. Even though I prefer not to wear my black pumps it is not worth standing there during a ceremony with the shoes falling apart at every step.
Very comfortable. A few people stated to get the bigger size and I have found that it was alost too large so if you get the WIDE size I would stick to no more then half a size. Very nice with Blues Uniform.
