Great shoes
I wear a 7 wide and often they aren't wide enough. It is almost impossible to find double wide shoes and when I can, they are often wide all around even the heel so they are hard to keep on. Because of this, I found swimming shoes to be a favorite. They are flexible and they accommodate my feet easier because they stretch. When they started making hiking shoes like swimming shoes - flexible, stretchy, and grip the terrain, I started wanting more in swimming shoes. The old shoe is only about a month old. I don't wear shoes often. It wire down quick. It was priced similar to these shoes. I wanted you to see the quality difference. The old shoes are a 7 wide and these shoes are just a 7. Not wide. Both fit well. These new shoes have more protection from rocks. They also have padding inside. They have thicker soles. They have thicker uppers. They have sturdier material. The soles have traction. It is not a cheap plastic. They feel like quality shoes. If I was designing a shoe for the water, hiking, or regular use, the only thing I would do different is make the rubber go up a little further in the front to protect the toes a little more. There was a lot of debate about size. I have on a fluffy winter sock. My foot is a true 7 and very wide. They are snug with fluffy socks. Without socks, my big toe goes halfway up the white spotted front section. I can still feel if I step on a phone charger cord with my feet so it isn't thick like a regular show but most people who buy these shoes want to feel what is underneath them but they don't want something to hurt them. This will do the job for me. They look nice enough that I am hoping to pass them off at work for regular tennis shoes. If you like hiking, you will get a great feel for the rocks in these.
