Excellent for kids with AFO leg braces
My daughter has a AFO leg brace and these shoes are wonderful! She can easily take them on and off by herself which is wonderful for an independent little one. Getting dressed used to be a frustrating time for her because shoes were hard to get on and off but things are much easier now with BILLY shoes. They have tons of styles, she has high and low tops. The joggers are more like sneakers and are great for active play, we just bought a pair. They even have boots which she likes to wear in school during the winter. I love that they have lots of styles so she can pick from that are super cute!

Perfect solution
These are perfect for my 11-year-old disabled son. He has to wear AFO braces under his shoes all the time in order to walk properly, and will remove his shoes and braces himself if at all possible, so anything with Velcro is impossible. Tie up shoes work well but are really a lot of trouble with a kid who fights you to put on and take off shoes, and is still in diapers at 11-years-old. These zip-up shoes are the perfect answer! I’m very, very happy with them, and I think his teachers and teacher aids are even more thrilled than I. Thank you Billy Shoes!

Good shoes
My 4-year-old granddaughter wears AFO's and these work well for her. I wish these came in smaller sizes though. The width is perfect, but they're a size or two too long. She has had them for about 2 months and the zipper has held up well.

Super-functional, but stylin’ just the same

FITS GREAT OVER AFOs
This shoe fits great over the Kiddie Gate AFO. We had the billy shoes without the laces, it didn’t work for us but we tried this with the laces and although the laces aren’t functional they do allow for a wider opening for an AFO! We were thrilled after years of tears!
