Fat feet + AFO friendly.
2nd pair of Billy Goat shoes for my kid with AFOs (now has SMO/AFO combos). Besides the wide >$100 New Balance these Goat shoes are the only ones I've found wide enough. My kid's feet and ankles were really fat until about 4.5 years old. It made the AFOs much wider than other kids. I used the sizing chart from the Billy website and measured every point to figure out his size. They have held up for almost 2 years now. Easy to get on and off and to adjust the laces for depth. Removed all the insoles as well to fit. I see so many reviews of Billy shoes saying they don't fit AFOs or tear up easily... that's people buying their other adaptive shoes and not the GOAT, which are specifically for orthotics. These shoes have a rubber toe on the outside that helps with wear. The inside has not worn either. He doesn't walk as much as a typical kid though so wear is dependant, but if your kid has fat feet, severe over pronation and you can't find a shoe for AFOs, size these with their size charts with their AFO's on and try these.

Amazing Adaptive Footwear!
I ordered the largest size for my daughter, a teen who wears a women’s nine. She needed a shoe deep enough to accommodate an AFO and a shoe insert. This shoe did the trick. Plus, she did not have the chore of constantly lacing the shoe. She could zip and go. I wish I knew about these years ago!

Zipper broke
I loved these shoes at first. They fit great over my son's afos and he liked the look. However, he wore these for two months, rotated with another pair of shoes. The zipper broke, and the shoe is no longer functional. For this price, it is not acceptable for shoes to break after 2 months of wear.

Perfect with afo brace
I absolutely love these shoes. They are cute. Hard sole which i need . Comfortable. Unzip and wide toes make perfect for my afo braces. Fit so well too. Comes with 2 sole inserts so can put braces in and then put one on top for Comfortable walking.
