Not for braces

While there are zippers on both sides of these boots it does not enable them to stretch enough to accommodate braces. I even tried going up 3 sizes (wears a 12, ordered a 2) to try to have them be loose enough, but still couldn't fit with braces on.

Definitely recommend

The shoes are very durable and very cute. Zipper quality is wonderful. They are also easy to put on. My daughter has recently got AFOs with hinges and these still work perfectly. Which is obviously because it’s Billy’s. They are good quality for the price.

Cute and comfy boots

These boots are soft and comfy and while they aren't a wide size, they're wide enough flexible enough that they fit well on my son with special needs who has somewhat wide feet but who does not have AFOs etc. We did size up as he is between sizes and that was definitely the right call. Do not size down! Anyway, I love the double zipper design and the flexibility of these.

Not braces friendly

the billy shoes have the best sneakers for kids who wears braces, that is why I decided to try their boots. I was looking for a pair of boots that my son could use with his braces as well. this boots aren’t braces friendly. as you can see in the picture my son wasn’t able to slide his foot on it with the braces on his foot. it works well with out the braces, easy to wear. if you kid doesn’t need to wear that with braces I totally recomend the boots.
