As someone who wears an AFO brace, Billy shoes give me the ability to wear my braces comfortably and safely so that I can walk more confidently. The full side zip feature makes it very easy to get my foot in and out, and I can even leave my braces installed in the shoes so that I can save time and effort when I take them on and off. I love Billy shoes because I don't have a need for large amounts of arch support so I can use a standard insole with them, and the provided insole works very well. The grip on the bottom is very flat and the texture dots provide amazing traction even in very wet or slippery conditions, though they are not rated for slip resistance anywhere that I can see. I've worn Billy shoes of various styles and designs for over 3 years now, and I will keep buying them as long as they are available. Very well made, good looking comfortable and priced well for something of this specific design.

Perfect shoes for those of us with debilitating foot problems.
I have plantar fasciitis and peripheral neuropathy. It's VERY difficult for me to put shoes on. These shoes make it very easy for me to get going in the morning. I am more comfortable with these shoes on my feet than no shoes at all. It's really amazing.

These look so good! This brand was recommended by Physical Therapy for my son’s leg braces AFO’s. This zips completely open so the braces are able to fit. They have wide sizes so it fit perfectly. Very good shoes if you can find the right fit.
Billy is the go-to shoe for kids wearing AFOs and kids who have trouble tying shoes. They need to make more Wide and EX wide because it is always hard to find those sizes. The high tops are more consistent in sizing. The canvas and other fabric, low tops are not consistent in sizing. We’ve bought 10 pairs over the last 5 years. I contacted them with feedback and got back the “ thanks for letting us know” email. I didn’t get the impression they really cared. Only time will tell if they listen about those low tops.

Stylish, comfortable, LOTS of room for very wide feet.
I bought these in high top, size 10.5 wide…. Great looking, seem to be high quality so far (worn only once), but most importantly SOOOO much room for my wide feet! When they say wide it’s about a 4E. Check out the stock photo of the sole of the shoe and you can tell. And that one’s probably not even a wide size. Though they have a zip closure, the laces are not just decorative, you can still tighten them to adjust the fit.Super comfortable, very happy with my purchase….may order another pair in a different color.
