The shoes open up all the way around the top so you can place your foot in and zip it up. They are great for Quadriplegics, and paraplegics. And they look stylish not like a medical specific shoe. This brand is the only one I have found where you can expose the whole sole of the shoe, set you foot on top and zip up around. Making sure your toes are not crunched or anything.
They are the best shoes that I have worn in ages. BILLY shoes are easy to put on my feet especially over my AFO brace.
I order wide 9 and 1/2 for the AFO but doesn't fit. The shoes feels and look great, and they are comfortable. But they are not wide enough for boot afo.
I intended on using these with an AFO brace but the toe box isn't deep enough. I couldn't get them zipped. However...there are days I'm riding in my wheelchair and I'm not going to have my brace on. These high tops are just too cute for words. A big fat pair of socks on a cold day and my new rose color pants with these shoes is going to look too amazing. I'm going to be so color coordinated that day it's going to be sick.
I bought the 6W bc the pair of Billy’s that came with my AFO’s were that same size. But the sizing is way off on these. It says 6W but they are way smaller then my other billy shoes that are 6W. I returned them.
The shoe was a perfect fit over my wife's AFO. In addition to the style, she loved the ease of use. We just placed an order for 3 more pairs!
Zipper broke. I spend so much money on shoes for my daughter cause she has smos and the quality of them is horrible. They don’t last more than a couple months
