Classic sandals, ideal for narrow feet
Birdies makes quality footwear that lasts. I already own several pairs in different styles, so I was already a fan of the brand. The Sunbird slip-on sandals are fantastic! They are well-made, and the construction and craftsmanship are excellent. I have narrow feet, and the size 8 fits me perfectly. There is no slipping and sliding around like when I wear other shoes. Well made but not my ideal.
I waited a while to receive these sandals so I was very excited when they finally showed up, only to be not as excited after receiving. These appear to be well made sandals but I find the leather thin and not supple at all. The foot bed of the sandal is very comfortable and lovely to walk on. I am not a fan of how low or short across my foot the straps come, I wish they came up a bit higher as it feels like they could easily fall off and would be a bit more comfortable with a little more staying on power. I personally would not pay $160 for these, I have a pair of $40 Sperry sandals that are just as well made and the leather is thicker and nicer. So while this is a really nice sandal, it doesn’t quite hit the mark for me with price nor feel on the foot.

Nice sandals
These sandals are very comfortable. The leather straps are soft and comfortable, easy to slip on and off my feet. Not stiff at all. Great for casual wear in warm weather. I haven't had the opportunity to wear them all day yet, but would bet based on the feel, they will work great with no issues with blistering.

These are high quality sandals. There are zero blemishes or loose threads. The footbed has a suede texture that is nice and soft. It also has a comfortable contour that hugs your foot.The gold crown shaped accent on the top strap adds a nice flourish.The sole has two inserts, one at the heal, one on the ball of your foot that are smooth, but made of a rubbery material that seems to improve traction compared to an all leather sole.

Stylish but Just Okay
These are fine. They look nice - minimalist and versatile - but for the price, I expected more. I’m not a leather connoisseur, but to me, the material doesn’t look or feel significantly better than faux leather sandals I’ve gotten for much less. They’re decently comfortable, but not particularly plush or supportive - just okay.One issue I’ve had is keeping them on my feet while walking. It might just be the way I walk or the fact that I’m not used to this exact style, but I find myself gripping with my toes to keep them on, which gets tiring fast. The outer soles are a bit stiff out of the box, though I suspect they’ll soften up with wear.All that said, they are a true neutral and easy to style in warmer weather, so they’ll likely stay in my rotation. Just not a wow product for me. Runs true to size.
