Absolutely wonderful!
If you’re new to Birkenstock, particularly if you wish they were a bit softer insole and doesn’t require you to constantly grab with your toes to keep them on, this is your pair. A bit different, tougher and more durable leather, I guess designed for kitchen and other industrial use, with a durable nonslip sole. The leather is squeaky to start-particularly where the heel strap meets the clog, but it gets quieter with each use. I love them and want more!

Wow. I got a pair of Utti chukkas on sale the other day at a brick and mortar, and I immediately knew I’d found some shoes that would not hurt my feet, and I have chronic pain in several metatarsals, so I basically don’t have any shoes that don’t hurt. These are actually therapeutic to wear. My feet actually feel better after wearing them all day.The last and the soft insole in those and the soft footbed in these have sold me after all these years. I used to sell the heck out of Birkenstocks when I worked at that same store, but I never tried on a pair that made me say Wow. These are them. I know how good these are and how long they last but I am a member of the cult now… Wow.Note: Never ever leave Birks in a hot car and never let them get too hot anywhere - the EVA in the sole will shrink and your shoes will be a total loss.
