Great shoes. (But beware size description on Amazon -- Buy by European size)
Fantastic sandals that are good for your feet, comfortable, and last forever. They are enjoying a bit of a fashion resurgence.One negative is that on Amazon these are often listed by U.S. or U.K. sizes -- which is someone guessing at the size relative to the Birkenstock size which are ALWAYS whole sizes European unisex. So learn which one you are getting or buy and return as needed (thank you Amazon!).Second, Try smaller than your normal European Size. My Birkenstock size is 41 in some styles, 40 in others, while in European shoes (like my biking shoes or others made in Europe, I'm generally buying 42 or sometimes 43). Birks come in narrow or regular (regular being slightly wide, maybe a wide C or a U.S. D?), but Regular fits almost everyone. Some women may want to opt for the narrow -- Otherwise it's unisex.

Great pair of Birks!
Great fit, soft leather, comfortable. I needed a comfortable pair of sandals with a heel strap and I love my Birkenstocks but find that walking for any extended period of time in the standard Birkenstock sandal is not the most comfortable and don’t easily stay on my feet without great effort, hence my need for a heel strap. Could not find these anywhere in any retail store and was excited to find them on Amazon Warehouse at a discount. This is exactly what I was looking for and the fit was perfect. Very pleased with my purchase.

Love the sandals.... Give them time to break in... BTW - I feel they run large.
After several days spent breaking these sandals in, they feel great. There was a period of time when they were fresh from the box that they really were hurting my feet. To break them in, I ended up wearing them with thick wool socks in the house which allowed the leather to stretch, the soles to gain some flex, without hurting my feet. Now I really love them.The general opinion on Amazon seems to be that these run true-to-size, but I found that they run large. I originally purchased a size 43 normal width, and while in several other brands of shoes I fit perfectly into a 43 normal, the Birkenstocks in 43 were too big. I settled on a size 42 normal width, which seems perfect.I recommend the Milanos, with their slingback, for folks that might be hiking or doing more active tasks in their sandals. They stay on very nicely.

Great sandal.
This is my third Milano. My first two lasted me over fifteen years each. It’s the first thing I put on my feet when I’m at home. Since I’ve used them I’ve not been bothered with feet problems, like plantar fasciitis. I love the fit, support and comfort they give my feet. High quality materials in a well-made shoe. These Birkenstocks deserve their reputation. Highly recommended.

BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK & check them outside!
I’ve never felt swindled by Amazon or their sellers but here we are. When I received them they looked great in the box & I was SO excited! I bought them for a particular outfit/event & when I had them on outside a few wks later it was CLEAR that these are in fact 2 different shoes (yet I only had 1 color option to choose from?). One is a cool tone brown and one is warm. NOT a natural discrepancy in leather that can happen (see photos). Since I waited to wear them outside I am now past the return window & stuck with expensive shoes I can’t wear. I don’t understand how this got past quality control but I’m super bummed I can’t wear them. Quality & fit were great but wasted my money in the end because of an error on Amazon & sellers end.

New experience
Totally new experience, I went to a chiropractor a while back and was told that my gait was totally out of whack, he recommended Birkenstocks. I have been into the barefoot minimalist thing for a few years but after a 9 hour day of standing at work in Merrell Barefoots my feet were beginning to feel shot. I decided to try the Birkenstocks out and am glad i did! I love the way they look I am 22 and for me they have a retro look to them that stands out against all my friends wearing Chacos. If the sole were to be of Vibram rubber quality my rating would be a five star.
