Redacted.. edited my review after a few months

The pair i got weren’t perfect. There’s a few things that don’t look great on my pair. From far away it's fine. It will help you with your posture if you're a cook or chef. These are extremely heavy and narrow. They beat the hell out of your feet if you work in a hotel. Definitely not worth the money. Absolutely the worst clogs I’ve ever bought. I wish i could return them.

Professional cook, so I'm in these things 10+ hours a day.Fit is a bit odd - I found that a perfect fit (for me at least) was the size in between what i wear in boots and what i wear in sneakers. For the first few days they feel a bit stiff, and slightly uncomfortable - after that initial break in period though, they're easily one of the most comfortable pair of shoes i own. If you're walking a lot of distance, then I wouldn't recommend these - they can handle trips around the kitchen or to the walk-in, but definitely wear something else to walk to the car at night.

Way, way too large. Seller should inform buyers to buy a smaller size than usual.

So, I've had many colleagues of mine say that they wouldn't wear anything other than their birkenstocks, so I figured I'd give up my Dr. Scholls workshoes to try these out. Got what I thought was a pretty decent deal from Schlappenladen on these shoes. I've heard and read that Birkenstocks run large, so I ordered a US 9-9.5, and I usually wear a 10.5 (size from my Nike shoes and current Dr. Scholls workshoes). These shoes were still at least a size too large. I contacted the seller to return these shoes, and they informed me that I would have to pay the return shipping (mind you, these shoes came from Germany), and that they would cover the shipping cost to send another pair if I wanted an exchange... the cost to ship them back would have set me back a little bit more than a Ben Franklin, so here I am, stuck with a pair of shoes that doesn't fit.So, not necessarily all the seller's fault, I should have known better to try a brand whose fit I wasn't familiar with without making sure there was free return shipping, but buyers beware if you've never work a birkenstock work shoe before and you're thinking about buying from a company overseas.

Great for medical field

Design, fit and materials are top quality, the cork insole it came with made the shoe way too tight fitting for me? I out in a standard rubber insole from the local cvs and the fit is perfect. If your in the medical field then this shoe is for you? You can literally bathe the shoe with decontamination products safety and effectively because of its design. I've had leather slip ons and others that you just can't decontaminate safely. I'm also a fireman and have worn this shoe 49hrs strait. Obviously not on calls but it's nice to have the safety toe in and around the station and truck checkouts. I feel they will last for a long time. The key with them is buying the right insole for your feet if your wearing them for long durations overall I will be a repeat buyer. Thank you

Best Restaurant Shoes EVER!

Best non slip restaurant shoes ever!I'm a 20 plus year cook.I usually by a 10. 5 or 11 because of wide feet but when I bought these I did so first from a store that brought in both a 43 and 44 on 10 and 11 and the 43 was the right size, wide enough just a bit snug unit break in. I added a close up of the size on the bottom of the shoe to show they are the same size. The new ones look sooo much smaller. I guess thats what 2 years will do to a shoe.I've owned maybe 20 different brands and styles of over the years and nothing beats these. I bought my first pair in July of 2015! That's right 2 years of wearing them EVERY DAY many days 10 hours on my feet! As you can see they stretch out our the years and for that reason alone I should have maybe replaced them a bit sooner but the soles are STILL in good shape! They take a week or two too break get the non slip working right. They're also not the most comfortable but they hold your feet in the right position so your back hurts less. I love these things gs and would highly recommend them to anyone!

I like the style and they are very well made

I have worn profi birkis for almost 20 years. I ordered the same size in this model but it is much tighter. I tried to put my old insoles in them to see if that would make more space, but it was no different. They are long enough but they rub on the top of my foot from being too tight. I like the style and they are very well made, I just wish they wern't so tight.

solid purchase

Quality brand, fit, comfort, construction. I like the solid feel of the sole over the squishiness of every unevenness that one feels with Crocs. My bad: I walked 18 holes playing golf with ankle socks. The foot comes out of the heel slightly with every step so the ankle stops could never stay up. The rubbing caused a blister on one of my heels. I don't think this would have been an issue with calf-high socks.
