Love this dance sneakers!

This is my second pair. I normally wear 7.5 size but these sneakers RUN SMALL. I had to order 9.5 and they fit just right. A little extra space on the toes, but it's okay. This new style is sleeker and less bulky than the old sneakers. They also have a big spinning spot that runs along the width of the shoe (ball of the foot), rather than a smaller spot, which makes it easier to spin. Super comfortable and I can wear them for hours without problems. I wear them for Jazzercise, line dancing and west coast swing.

(Bloch Women's Troupe Dance Shoe -- Perfect for Zumba

I purchased these dance shoes (Bloch Women's Troupe Dance Shoe, White, 8.0) for Zumba, because of the pivot pad on the bottom. I selected this specific shoe because (1) the soles are white (and my YMCA doesn't allow the black soled shoes on the dance floor); (2) the heel was just a bit shorter than the other pair I purchased (so easier for street wear); and (3) I was happy with the other pair I bought (stopped my knee pain during Zumba). I bought it in the same size -- one size up from my regular size. However, I noticed that with this shoe the toe area is just a bit looser than the toe area in the other Bloch dance shoes I bought last year (Bloch Dance Women's Boost DRT Suede and Mesh Split Sole Dance Sneaker). The pink dance sneaker, although the same size, is just a small amount tighter in the toe area. Not saying which is better, just that it's different. I don't think I could have gone down a half size. The happy ending: I wore the white troup dance shoe to the YMCA today for Zumba with no problems. They pivoted nicely and staff didn't give the higher dance heels a second look (presumably since they were white, they were much less noticeable as dance shoes). The price was a bit lower as well. I am happy with the look and feel and price. I did not notice the arch support one way or the other.

Shoe size based on foot width

I have always gone up one size from my street shoe size, when purchasing bloch sneakers. However...with these particular shoes...determine the size based on your foot width. My feet are narrow, so going up one size made the heel way too big. I'm returning them now and trying a half size up instead. The length fit perfect, but the width was not. I'm hoping I can work them in, to where they form to my foot. I like tighter dance shoes anyway.

Love my shoes

I have been line dancing for about 13 years. Recently my knees have started bothering me so I thought being able to turn easier might help. These sneakers are great. Danced almost 3 hours last week and my knees were good the next day. Very happy with my purchase and have shared the website with friends. Some of us just can't dance with boots. The dance shoes do run small as other reviews have said. I normally wear a size 7 and I bought a size 8. They are comfortable. Highly recommend.

I am 7.5 size and ordered 7.5 size but found it too tight. I ordered 8 size.

I ordered a larger size to see if it works. I do like the lightness, flexibility and removable insoles.

Buyer beware! Not the same shoe.

I would originally have given this product a 5. It was perfectly constructed for street dance in every way. However, Bloch changed manufacturers. In doing so they completely changed the product in every way except surface color and decoration. The toe box is now more pointed and constricting, the arch is now several inches longer. Both split soles are smaller. After the manufacturing change, I ordered the same size that I had originally danced in (from a different store, as Amazon was out of the shoe). The new store sent the shoe straight from Bloch. I wore it, not knowing that the construction had been radically altered. The shoe was excruciating to wear and I got a blood blister on my big toe. Bloch refuses to acknowledge any responsibility for this, saying only that it's a sizing issue. I would have been a Bloch customer for life, now I'll never order from them again.

LOVE THEM!

I disagree with the reviews that suggest buying a much larger size than your street shoe, but of course, it depends on your personal preference. As a dancer, I like my dance shoes to fit more snugly than street shoes to avoid tripping and let me be more nimble and forward on the ball of my foot, and able to point my feet without tripping over them. I am a 7.5 to 8 street shoe, and the 8 was too long for dancing--way too much extra room beyond the toe. The 7.5 works for me, and I actually considered keeping the 7 . . . . These are great dance sneakers for the price. Some reviewers said they can feel the floor too much, but I don't find that. Personally, I wouldn't want thicker soles.
