I could wear this pair to my linedance and tango lessens. But the best use is for me to wear them when taking long flights (6 hours plus or red eyes). They let me get off the plane with tired feet in soothing glove-like soft leather. And I look ready and great from bottom up.
I don't know why they insisted on designing a dance shoe that has such a high rise across the side of shoe where the ankle bone is located. It doesn't provide any additional support and only serves to make this shoe almost impossible to dance in without getting skin abrasions and sores near the ankle bone. It especially becomes bothersome on the outside of the shoe. I was able to finally get a reasonable fit using fairly heavily padded shoe insert. It allowed enough lift (for the most part) to eliminate the continual rubbing I had been getting without them. The shoe does seem to be well made so I have decided to keep them. They have a nice look and I like the leather bottoms as opposed to the felt that some dance shoes have. The fit for me was just a bit long but the width seemed comfortable then as I tend to wear a EE vs D in mens shoes quite often. I don't feel any tightness in the width part of the shoe near the front of the foot.
