Size UP!
These are much more comfortable and well made than the cheaper ones I tried, so 5 stars. But am exchanging for a full size bigger—these were only half-size bigger.

The Bloch Women's Neo-Flex Slip-On Leather Jazz Shoes are designed for dancers who prioritize both performance and comfort. Made from specially developed soft yet strong leather, these shoes provide a unique combination of flexibility and durability. The split sole features EVA forefoot and heel pads that offer excellent support, making them an ideal choice for step dancing and other dance forms.
This innovative design includes a neoprene insert that hugs the curve of your arch, ensuring that you not only look good while dancing but also feel supported and comfortable throughout your routine. As you dance, you'll appreciate how this shoe maintains its shape without creasing, which is a common issue with lesser-quality options.

These are very nice and will last several seasons. Unless you’re buying for a fast growing teen Id spend the money to get durable leather shoes for performing.
I wear a 7.5 street shoed and I ordered a 9.5....they fit me perfectly. They aren't too tight or too loose. I have always used dance paws or ballet shoes, so I wasn't sure how the soles of these would function on the wooden floors in the dance studio. They are awesome! They let me spin so easy....way easier than the ballet shoes and dance paws. They are not slippery at all! I don't have to worry about my feet slipping out from under me if I don't have all my weight completely over the foot. That is a relief. My character shoes were so slippery and I was worried about these...but no, they are perfect for spins and everything else. The heel doesn't bother me. I wasn't sure how it would change my balance or movement, but it's no problem. It also doesn't cause any unsteadiness in my ankle. That is awesome. I really like these shoes. They are perfect for practice and workshops in weird places with weird floors.
My daughter already owns a pair of these shoes and has outgrown them. I already knew they ran small (the shoes she just outgrew are a size larger than her regular shoe size) but I assumed that going up a full size from her current size would be sufficient. It wasn't and I'm hoping to return the shoes. The quality of these shoes is really good and they hold up well. But I really, really wish that they would post some kind of size chart. If you're an adult woman and your feet have stopped growing and you just need replacement shoes then you know what size to buy. But if you're a first time buyer - or trying to buy new shoes for a growing child - it's very difficult to know what size to purchase without first trying them on. So a size chart of some kind is really needed. The only reason I'm giving this product a 4-star review is because I have to try to return the shoes I purchased and am frustrated by that since my daughter has dance again tonight and her current shoes are small enough that her feet hurt by the end of class (she just told me last week they were too small) and I was hoping to have new shoes for her tonight. As it is, I guess I'll overpay for shoes at the dance academy tonight. I'm not happy about that.
so soft, cozy and pliable. nice soft leather and elastic comfortably hugs my feet and arches. at 76 I am no dancer, but have found I can even wear these out and about in dry weather, the soles are tougher than I imagined. they look so good with black socks and pants - make my feet look tiny. my normal street shoe size is 7.5 - 8 wide. because these were an irresistable 'warehouse price' I bought the size 9 and got lucky - a perfect fit! so I would say size up 1 to 1.5 sizes, and watch the warehouse!
My daughter dances 4-8 hours during the week and is on the competitive team. She wears an adult size 8 consistently in converse, sandals, boots and she did need the size 9. We tried 8.5 and 9.5 also and returned them successfully. The shoes are good quality as they have just enough stretch and as new they did not hurt her feet. It is pricey and worth it because she wears them so much.
Excellent quality! Comfortable and fits perfectly!
