Waterproof leather, runs a bit small and narrow, soles are made from cheap material
As other reviews pointed out, this boot runs narrow and about half a size smaller. It is waterproof and leather, upper seems to be very well made. The boot is a bit stiff, and rubs around the ankles, so wear it with very thick socks. The insole is cushioned and comfortable. However, the soles of the boots seem to be made to last one season, as most newer shoes and boots do. It is made from cheap material, and once it wears out, you can't take it to the cobbler to extend the life of the boot.

Beware! Blondo's Run Narrow!
2nd UPDATE: I never took these on my trip. My good old Docs worked great. Don’t know if I’ll ever be able to wear the Blondos. They’ll probably end up at Goodwill.UPDATE: I’ve not been able to stretch these boots enough to risk taking them on my upcoming trip. I will be using a pair of Doc Martin AirWair boots that I already owned instead. While they are lighter and more spacious, unfortunately since they are lace-up I can’t guarantee they’ll keep my feet dry. Fingers crossed. This is such a bummer because I bought BOTH pair of my Blondos for the waterproof feature and specifically for this trip. To not be able to wear either model...it’s so frustrating and such a waste of money. I’ll never buy Blondos again.ORIGINAL POST:This is the second pair of Blondo boots I've bought for a trip I'm taking to Europe in late summer/early Fall and will have quite a bit of walking in rainy/wet conditions. I bought them because reviewers said they are comfortable, great for walking in all day, stylish, and waterproof. Because the brown ones are narrow, especially over the bridge of my foot/toes, I decided to buy these (different style) in black. These are worse. I do not have wide feet, but Blondos make me feel like I have clown feet. I doubt I'll ever buy this brand again but—hypothetically—if I ever did, I'd go up half a size or choose a wide option—though I'm not sure Blondo offers them. As they are now I can't even put cushioned inserts in them for added comfort (the default insoles are very thin). At this point I'm having to use a hair-dryer and wear extra thick socks to try to stretch these out. Thankfully I bought these three months prior to my trip so I have time to stretch/break them in. I really hope it works because I don't want to have bought them in vain. Otherwise, I won't be able to take them. Very disappointing start. If things change and they feel better and do well on my trip I'll come back and update my review..
