very durable. great water shoes
One of the best fitting and wearing river shoes that I've worn. My last pair hasn't died yet, actually they'll likey last acfew more years and they're already 3 years old. I've been so happy with them that I wanted to have 2 spare pairs for when they eventually wear our (at which time the way marketing goes, they won't be available).

Best water shoes I've ever owned!!
Avid paddler, so I'm around the water all.the.time. I've owned multiple other water shoes, dive boots, etc. but they've all fallen short in one way or another--until I found these!!Neoprene dive boots are nice, but, they don't drain and keep your feet wet the whole time you're on the water. I've owned several other brands of water shoes, from Walmart specials to nice ones from Stohlquist, NRS, etc. The biggest shortcomings are: thin soles that hurt if you step on a rock, fairly wide drainage mesh that allows sand, gravel, and even small pebbles to get in your shoes--no bueno! These Body Glove water shoes have drain holes in the soles, and partial mesh upper that let them drain well, but kept out the vast majority of sand/grit/gravel, etc. The soles are pretty solid/thick so walking on gravel at the put-in isn't painful for your feet. Over the past 8 years of so I've had about a dozen attempts to find the "perfect" water shoe, and so far these are the best I've ever owned!!

They work
I've used these kayaking, jet skiing, and general watersports. They stay on trekking through mud to the river (make sure your tabs are tightened), and have protected my feet. You will want to avoid larger rocks as the sole is very flexible and won't provide much protection from those. I've noticed some mild shredding of the sole, but it's very soft and provides great grip. At this price, I'd rather buy a new pair every 3-5 years than risk slipping and falling. Would definitely buy again.

Nice shoe But -
Bad first. Not a slip on or slip off. Unlike a laced shoe, the shoe. opening is fixed. Only effect the loop has is a slight tightening. What you see in the picture is what you get. A shoe horn would help. If you have a problem bending over to put a shoe on, I don’t recommend this one. Because it fits so well, it literally sticks to foot & turns inside out when removing it, at least when foot is dry. The good. Size wise, I’m a 12+ so I went to a 13. Fits well and feels comfortable when walking. Nicely made and looks good. Have to wait to see how it does on the beach. If it wasn’t for the problem putting it on or taking it off, I might have gone to 5 Stars.

What a winner.
They work perfectly. The removable insole came out, and in time wasn't worth putting back in. It was bound to happen. They've endured. They've made the difference in being able to go into certain waters and over rocks safely and comfortably. I'm grateful for them. I went under a small waterfall. It was awesome. There's no way I would have made over these rocks to get to the waterfall.
