Outstanding traction on snow and ice

Needed a new pair of winter boots because my old pair, another well known brand, the soles delaminated and my feet were getting wet and cold. Decided to try Bogs again, had a pair many years ago that I was very happy with. This new pair of Bozeman Mid has extremely good traction on snow and ice, feet stay warm and dry, easy to put on and take off. The heel bumps on the inside take a little getting used to. The handles are really not necessary and tend to let snow get inside the boot. Some reviews suggested going one size up from your normal size, others suggested going down in size. For me, staying with my normal size was the perfect choice. So far, very happy with this boot. The question of durability is TBD.

5 Star Despite...

A good work boot for the slush. I do snow removal in Michigan. LIKES: Fit (very comfortable and the insole does bounce back to form and has a sturdy cushion that appears will continue to be resilient), waterproof (no seams = no water), easy on/off, true-to-size (ordered 14 knowing I"d be wearing thick socks and returned for my true 13). Could have taken a star: DISLIKES: 1. My feet sweat. Enough that I thought a small amount of moisture may be getting in or coming through the holes at the upper boot. Wear a base layer sock under your wools. 2. Holes at top. A nice-to-have when putting on. Not worth sacrificing clearance for snow and letting in wind. Put a loop on the back...they're easy to get on as it is. Jury is still out on tread -- the lower profile tread will allow snow to clear relatively well but so far it sometimes seems I'd prefer more bite.

Very Comfortable!

Even though these boots are rated for very cold weather, I purchased them for California climate. Needed some rain boots for work and ended up really liking this brand Bog’s. Very excited to try them out, exceeded my expectations and then some. They have a very comfortable sole, kept my feet very warm and not sweaty at all. Something I notice is the boots have like a nudge or bump behind the heel on the inside that helps your feet feel snugged like putting sneakers on. So when walking you don’t cal your heal moving all over when walking. Having back problems I need good cushion and after an 8 hr shift I was a happy camper. Bog’s has my respect after 1st pair of rain boots.
