Best winter boots I've ever had

My first pair of Bogs was a bit overkill. I got a low-cut pair to wear when mowing my lawn. They performed admirably. I have since used the low-cut pair for winter use in Wisconsin (mostly running errands) and they continue to impress me. As such, I took a liking to the brand and ordered these boots. These ultra-high waterproof insulated boots are incredible. I've used them when shoveling my driveway and I also took them on a winter camping trip. They're super warm and super comfortable and never allow water to get in. I wear a men's size 11 and I'm happy with the fit.The only problem is that they don't have anything (like a boot lace) to tighten and secure the boot to prevent any slippage. This isn't a problem for simple tasks like shoveling the driveway, but it gets a little annoying when trudging miles through snow for winter camping. I'm not going to take a star off because I knew about this limitation when I purchased them. I was actually focusing on the "slip-on" type of boot to avoid worrying about laces. I just hope they will hold up over time since my heel moves a lot and there is a lot of friction during that type of activity. But these boots seem very durable and well made.My original decision was between Bogs and Muck Boots. I haven't ever owned Muck Boots but I'm happy with my decision.

Best boots ever!

These boots are amazing! I ordered an 8 but sent those back and got a 9 and they fit perfectly! I wear a 10.5 in womens so I was a bit iffy on what size to order but it worked out great. They are so comfortable and warm, easy to put on and take off.

Watch the handles on the side - otherwise, lasted almost 2 years

White Mountains, AZ. I wore these for almost two years before they started leaking. They are not super warm, but if you're active, they work. Not really great for standing in snow or cold water creeks for extended periods of time.I know it's Arizona, but it gets cold up here. I live at 7200' and I work at 8500'. This last summer, we had over two months of straight rain. Snow started in October. These are great in the rain and mud. The outsoles on these are good too! Enough traction - for sure. After about the first 2-3 months, there was a little separation between the upper and the sole on the right boot. I could tell the next morning when I slipped them on - when I put pressure on the right foot, water would squish out. However, both of my feet remained dry and warm enough, so I kept wearing them.I have worn them hunting and fishing in 15F degree weather. Like I stated - as long as you're active, your feet stay warm with a pair of heavy, wool socks. The biggest problem - but I deducted no stars, because I should have thought about it - are the openings on the sides at around the 12-13" mark. Now, I will say that these handles make them super convenient to carry and are great to pull your boots on...BUT snow and especially water come right in those openings. This severely limits the depth at which one can "wade". I can't fault the boots for this, though. The pictures make it clear, and BOGS never claims that these are for deep snow and water. They are insulated rain boots, and they work fantastically in that regard.I ordered a size 12 - this is the size I wear in every shoe I own. They fit perfectly. The handles on the sides weren't even necessary for me - they slip on easily and the kick on the back of each boot makes removal easy as well.I just noticed that my feet have started getting wet (and cold) the last couple of weeks. I did order a pair of higher, more insulated boots from another manufacturer, but I will keep these boots to quickly slip on for quick runs to the wood pile when it's snowy or muddy. I just needed more insulation and height for the things I want to do. Hunting/fishing/ice fishing.OVERALL: Great, affordable boot for their intended use.

Great boots, replacing my PAC boots

Good fit, maybe 1/4 size small, but keeping them. Was worried about traction switching from Sorel Caribou that put a lot of sole in contact with the ground. Took a 1 mile walk with the dog last night in snow over ice conditions. No slipping. On the same walk I slip in Cabelas Snow Runners but not in my Sorels. These boots are easy on and off using handles to pull on over jeans and heel nub to kick off. I will couple these with my uninsulated Xtratuf pull on boots and retire the Sorels and Cabelas. Happy customer. I’ll add that my kid has been wearing bogs forever and they are the bomb for children.

Good boots

These boots are comfortable, warm, waterproof and very durable.I would have given them 5 stars but the pull holes at the top are a joke. The second day wearing them on a southern Illinois farm and cattle ranch I stepped out of a tractor into the mud and the holes filled my boots with mud and water.i will go back to the regular high Bogs from now on

Best Boots For Rain/Muck/Snow

I’ve purchased the tall classic Bogs boots w/ handles forever! My son started wearing them when I noticed how many of these brand boots were lined up outside his elementary classroom for the kids (boots for when they go out for recess here in Alaska). They must know something I don’t. I went home and searched them on Amazon of course and read up. When I saw they were good for -40 degrees, waterproof, sealed, handles, etc. i understood why. After that, it’s all my 3 boys wore growing up here. Playing all the time in the rain, mud, and snow. My husband, that doesn't like to spend money, would never let me get him any. Fast forward to now: When my husband wore our grown-up son’s boots one day in a crawlspace flooding emergency, he was hooked. He kept stealing our sons when he thought he wouldn't need them that day. So for Father’s Day we all agreed to get him his own pair. He is extremely happy. I couldn’t tell you how they fit other than they fit him perfectly And I’m sure he’ll never go back (although we may need to buy the future new pair and pry the old ones off because “They’re still good”). Argggh! Men!
