Comfortable, durable, great traction, snug fit

Now, after wearing these boots for nearly 3 years, I'm at ease with making a review. I just noticed some separation and cracking in the rubber. I'll continue to wear them for their comfort. I've had Cabela, Bass Pro, LL Bean and various slip-on and low tie up boots for years. Used for hunting, fishing, hiking, farming and working. The Bogs are by far, my favorite. I've worn them more while doing chores, shopping, hunting and pretty much anything I find myself doing... I don't take them off between events... unless, of course, I'm coming in the house and I might track in mud. The "Red Head in Charge" has been pretty firm about that. We have mud all over our farm. Lots of mud and loose turf. These boots grab and keep me stable in all conditions. Snow and ice included. They offer a snug fit and don't slide off without a little coaxing. I like that. No lost energy while walking in difficult elements. I do use a shoe horn to put them on. Just makes things simple. I'm in my 70's and can get them off without a struggle. I was a little surprised there weren't higher ratings on these Bogs. Like I mentioned, I've worn these for nearly three years. I'm now seeing the sides separating and won't offer me the water tight seal I've experienced until now. I'm not disappointed as I've put many miles and many hours on these. Hopefully my next pair will serve me as well.

Great Boot!

I already had a tall pair of Bog boots for snow storms and walking around in the deep stuff. I got these for "in between" storms when there's a little snow or the slushy, melting. messy stuff on the ground but don't want to wear the big bulky boots necessarily. Very comfortable, easy to slip on and off, keep feet warm and dry. I wear size 13 shoe but have extra wide feet. I ordered a size 14 to make up for the width, shoe fits great. Nice and lite and not bulky at all. Bought a pair of Muck Boots that were similar to compare, great boots, but more for heavy duty work outside. The Bogs are much better for me for "casual" wear.

Be careful putting these on.

These boots are perfect for pulling on for a quick trip to the barn. They are comfortable enough to wear all day, but because they are rubber and unventilated, you probably shouldn't. They have good non-slip properties, and look good enough to wear into town. The only problem I had was that they are quite snug, and one must pull them on. Pull tab on my first pair ripped out after just a few wearings. Looking forward to wearing replacement pair which just arrived.

No customer service, leaks

Seems like a nice boot. I have had them just over a year, only wearing them very occasionally for a little work when the yard is wet. Recently, I had my first opportunity to submerge them a bit and the left shoe leaked- just after the one year warranty was over. I didn't want to make a claim or return, just fix them myslef. So I emailed Bogs customer service with a photo and asked where the glued seams were so I could fix them. I received an automated reply that they would contact me soon, but they NEVER DID. I gave up on them, filled the boot with water, found the leaky seam, and fixed it with Aquaseal shoe repair. The are repaired, but no thanks to Bogs.UPDATE, spring 2024- both boots are now cracked where they flex. I only wear them occasionally, when the grass is wet to do yard work. Based on the limited use, I would expect many more years out of these.Poor quality rubber. I am surprised that a "quality" name like Bogs would use such poor quality rubber.

Was hesitant to order

Was really having buyers remorse before I even received them, after reading multiple reviews about the fit and how tight or loose they were had me doubting my purchase. But i was very happy when i received them and they fit like I expected. I wear a 8.5 and ordered a 9 which fits perfect, not to small or to big at all.Seen multiple reviews of about how hard or tight they were to put on, the trick is to start your foot at a right angle or towards the side of the boot and then turn it straight . i could see how some people complain they are too tight to put on, but if you put them on as i indicated you should not have a problem. there is plenty of room in them once you have them on. As far as comfort, they the most comfortable slip on boots i have ever had, as long as they stay waterproof and don't rip apart they are a 5 star rating all day long. i also have worn them on extremely warm days and they are definitely bearable to work in in 80+ degree weather.

Very comfortable work boots but dont hold up to farming!

So I love the Amazon Wardrobe feature! Its pretty awesome to be able to try on a bunch of different option and EASILY return and be refunded for the ones you dont like. I am a small farmer in southern CA, we raise sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits, cattle and pigs for meat and dairy out on pasture. This means I need a SUPER comfy work boot that has good traction, is at the very least water resistant but also has good breathability. So after trying on about 6 different pairs of “women’s work boots” from Muck Boot, Bogs, Sloggers, Ariat and Blundstone I finally ordered a pair of “men’s” work boots from Bogs to try on side by side with a pair of their women’s.... well of course the men’s had better traction and were WAY more cushiony and comfortable that the women’s. Im a 10 in Womens and ordered an 8.5 in men’s, they were a little tight on the top of my foot but I figured they would wear in, which they did. I was so excited to finally have a pair of shoes that I can wear all day around the farm and not have sore feet at the end of the day. They held up to water being splashed on them, stepping into mud, getting peed and pooped on and they werent too hot when the sun was out! I was all ready to start singing their praises until about a month after wearing them every day for 10-12 hrs a day I started to see the rubber at the crease points (where the boot bends with your movement) starting to crack.... its been two and a half months, they are still nice and comfy but now the cracks are so big I cant even call them water resistant. Im super bummed but at least I can still return them for a full refund... I will prob order another pair to be honest but directly from the company this time so I can talk to them directly if this happens again.
