Run large, comfortable, super cute & versatile to wear anywhere

My first pair of BOGS, glad I ordered down a size based on reviews. I wear a 9.5 Medium in pricey shoes like Klogs & Aresoles, and a 9.5 Wide for my wide toes in Brooks Ghost running shoes, or size 10 in other athletic shoes. I wear size 10 for a perfect fit in mid to value priced office or casual shoes. I ordered the 9' in this Bogs, and it's actually a little too big for me, at least 3/4 inch too long. I have room for thick socks if I want to wear them and still plenty room left over. They are not sliding on my heels while wearing thin socks, all the extra seems to be in the toe area. Extra length and extra width in the toes. As they do feel good, and are not sliding, I'm not going to swap for an 8, afraid they would be too small. They are very comfortable with their bouncy rubber soles and are easy to slip on. I do have to pull the heel on, not step in. But I don't have to sit down to do it, just a quick tug while standing.

Size runs big

This is a really cute shoe. Good for walking around wet yard. But… size runs very big. I normally wear 10.5 - 11.Retuned a size 11 for a 10. 10 is still big and feels sloppy, but don’t think l can go to a 9.The outside edge of the shoe rubs my ankle bone.I will use it out of necessity, but not ideal fit.

Tough Garden Boot

I wear this boot everyday when walking my dog in the woods where the ground is uneven and lots of critters and creatures around. We never know what we will meet, so I need to protect my feet with a thick foot cover, and I believe these boots provide adequate protection without cumbersome bulk. They are also very waterproof. This pair replaces a Boggs garden boot I used for over 10 years. An added extra is that they are absolutely adorable.

practical but not perfect

I keep buying these, even though I can only give a three star review. They are my daily garden shoe in spring and fall. They are better than other brands I have purchased, but not perfect. They are easy to slip on and keep my feet dry in short grass. They are comfortable to wear all day. The treads are sufficient to prevent slipping. However, they last, at best, a little over two years (again, just seasonal use) before the uppers start to crack and disintegrate. They are not exposed to freezing not stored outdoors. This seems to be a common feature of the material used for this type of shoe. The tread on the soles wears down within the first year. Another issue is that the soles are smaller than the upper, and they are not stable on soft or uneven ground, and prone to rolling. That design is similar to other slip-on garden shoes I have found, so there you go.
