Bogs are the BEST of this type boot :) IMO

I am wearing them as I write :) since I came home for a quick break from work. I use them daily on the farm in all kinds of weather conditions and find I am warm, dry, and comfortable. They are light compared to most other similar brands and give me enough support so that I do not find my legs or feet as tired. I am trudging around all day over all types of terrain so that is important to me. I guess I should have measured the height of the pair this replaced since I did think "Ultra High" would be closer to knee level but they are definitely as high as the previous pair that I bought. Those came about mid calf or maybe a bit higher and these new boots are the same so know that I am sufficiently covered. The back of the boot is a bit higher than the front,as pictured, and so that makes like a 'scoop' over the back of my calf. So far Maryland has had a fairly mild winter season and temps have not dipped (so far) below zero but these are rated the same as my last pair and so we could get much colder and I am sure that I will still be ok. The tread is great too! That was proven recently while chasing a neighbors pony mule out of the horse fields lol. Highly recommended :)

Perfect for the ranch

Awesome boot. Conditions in our stables go from Ice and Snow to Mud and Mess. Especially in the Spring, Winter and Fall. These boots are great for all conditions. Toes stay warm, cozy and dry. I use them in the summer at times also and even though they are super insulated for winter weather, my feet don't over heat.

comfortable. I had no problem getting a friend of ...

When I saw these deeply discounted Thanksgiving weekend I couldn't pass snatching them up. I'm usually somewhere between a 7-7.5 and was really hoping these ran big. Unfortunately they were a hair too small. But other than that they're great- warm, well made, comfortable. I had no problem getting a friend of mine to take them off my hands for me.

Great boots.

I’m amazed by how comfortable these boots are, and the handles at the top and the notches on the back mean that you don’t even have to sit down to get in and out of them.I splashed happily through several icy creeks today and my feet stayed dry.

Buy a size larger than you wear

I’ve been a Bog wearer for many years and they out perform any boot on the market. I raise livestock and I’m out in sun zero weather all winter and muck the rest of the year. You can count on Bogs to keep your feet warm and dry. They don’t leak and they are comfortable. Most of mine lasted 5 years or so with daily use.It seems that they changed their boot last from my last order. I’m a true nine, have always worn nines but had to exchange these for a 10 this year (with no change of sizes in my other shoes).

No longer a Boggs fan ...

I don't know what is going on with Bogs classic boot this year… shorter than normal… I tried two different pairs just to see if it might have been defective the first time around… I even ordered an older style on Amazon… The Hampton… To compare… Sure enough the Hampton fit properly and wasn't too short… I have worn a size 8 in Boggs forever… Now My toes hit the end of any pair of the classics… tried the regular classic and the ultra classic to no avail… have worn the same brand and thickness of wool socks for years…(smartwool), so it is not that I am wearing thicker socks than normal. Ended up going with Lacrosse boots… Traction is incredible and just as warm. (I live in Montana where Temperatures stay below freezing consistently during the winter). on another note, for the last three years I've had to purchase a new pair of Boggs boots every year due to the fact that they have changed the sole on the classic boot. The rubber wears away very quickly on the heel...Prior to a couple of years ago, a pair of bogg boots could last me three winters.UPDATE: Try out the Muck boots - heavier but definitely built better! Love mine!

Sizing Issue

I was disappointed that these boots did not fit as my daughter has a pair and swears by them. I read reviews and most mention they run small, so ordered a size 9, which is one size up. Still too tight and I'm pretty sure at my age, my feet are done growing. Exchanged for a size 10, which just arrived and they are way too BIG. Guess I need a half size. Looks like a fabulous product. Just having some sizing issues...........
