these booties have all the style
beautiful color & super comfy. yes, they do run a tad larger per size, but that just makes them more comfy when wearing sox that are a little thicker. style is amazing & workmanship looks like they will last a while -- HOWEVER -- i found the zippers to be very difficult. they did not zip easily. that was solved quickly by putting some wd40 on the zippers. that solved the problem. i was going to deduct a star for that, even tho the zippers are very short, but it was a sticky problem very quickly solved. i so wanted these on my feet. they're a really cool, stylish bootie & well worth the few days wait to get them & the wd40 zipper fix. i'm thinking of getting another pair in a different color as they really are super comfy to wear. size down 1 size if you never wear thicker sox w/ankle booties.

Surprisingly comfortable all day at the fair
Needed a "medieval looking" shoe in a hurry, at an economical price, and most importantly was comfortable. For me these are rather odd shoes but - purchased in normal 6.5 size and a 7 to test, as I wanted to wear some kind of sock with. Knocked off a star as on my high arched feet, just getting the 6.5 on, with a very thin no show "footie" sock, requires a lot of squirming and/or a shoe horn (the zipper isn't long enough). Also, one of the zippers didn't want to stay up (especially when one foot swelled). I kept the size 7 for wearing with heavier socks at colder outdoor events.And the upper material is IMO rather odd - soft, but seems to be a spirited attempt at faking leather, down to sort of having a rough suede-like side - but IMO this isn't leather, it feels more like some sort of rubber or vinyl.On the other hand - the ultimate test especially when I have planar fasciata that flares up, and fairs tend to have uneven ground I'd be walking on - these were very comfortable, had toe room, light weight, and protective after being on my feet all day. Worked comfortably raking leaves as well. Am pretty surprised but actually ordered a third pair (also a 7 for heavier socks which are my preference unless it is very hot) simply because I put a high premium on comfort and sturdiness. Plus, I don't know if these look truly medieval but they look cool, sort of medieval/moccasin. The price wasn't bad, for the comfort and softness if you are going to be walking around all day. For my Ren faire costume they worked very well, and both the yellow/tan and green I purchased looked good.

Thin sole
Shoes look very nice but are very hard to put on. I don’t have mobility issues but the short zipper is impossible. The deal breaker is the very thin sole. Not for me, returned.

Comfortable shoes.
These are the most comfortable shoes. Really feels like wearing nothing, but better because you have the hard sole. They are difficult to get on at first. I don’t have the problem of the zipper coming down; I think if the zippers were a little longer, they would be easier to get on. When they stretch out a little they go on easily. I did buy the inner soles to put in them. I got the blue and it is beautiful. I would highly recommend the shoes for comfort, quality, and beauty. Might have to get a green pair.
