Great shoe
One of the best running shoes I ever had. Too bad they went up in price like crazy since two years ago. Used to be around $80.00. I still use them to this day and I do not get blisters. Confortable for sure. I do not recommend hiking with them as I did if you care for your ankle for obvious reason.
I have used these shoes for 3 weeks straight. I walk maybe 6 miles a day. These shoes are lightweight and have a very nice cushion on the sole. The fit is decent but the tongue has little thickness to it. This provides very little space between the shoelaces and your foot. The result is feeling too tight.I could never run in these. They don't have amazing support nor is the sole impact resistant for runners. For walking though I am 4 out of 5 stars satisfied.
Best shoes ever
The color is awesome looking red! Those are comfortable allday, especially when exploring around town. I have sensitive feet and I can walk all day with no issues. This the third pair of Caldera and still love them.
I went from a New Balance More Tail X v2 to Caldera 5, and have been pleased. A little less sole than the More Trail 2 and a little narrower, but comfortable and great for longer distances. Lots of padding around the collar which seems to prevent debris from entering the show, which was a slight issue with the More Trail 2. I only wish it had a bit more attractive design.
I really, really wanted to love these. The front edge is reinforced, they worked excellently in wet or slippery conditions. I wear the Brooks Adrenaline normally and they are dangerous in slippery conditions sometimes but really supportive and comfortable. These shoes do not have the guiderails like the Adrenaline. If you pull out the footbed liner you will see how incredibly narrow the foot bed actually is. Past that inside edge there is NO support. This forces your foot to overpronate.
