Most comfortable and cushioned running shoe I've ran in + 550 mile update
I switched to these Brooks Glycerin 19s after wearing Asics for the last 30+ years - mostly Gel Nimbus and Gel Excite. I got fed up with with the lack of consistency in comfort and cushioning with the Nimbus line over the last many years and found that the $50 Gel Excite 4 felt just as comfortable as the last Nimbus I ran in. With aging and tightening muscles and joints I researched other cushioned running shoes and thought I'd try these. In size 11.5 M they are almost the exact same dimensions as the Excite 4 and Gel Nimbus, with the heel cup in these being 1/4-inch wider than in the Asics - which works well with my custom orthotics. The toe box in both brands is comparable - I need a fairly wide toe box. The superior cushioning in the Glycerin 19 was instantly noticeable - far more so than with any other running shoe I tried. I installed some bungee laces, ran 6 miles, and found these shoes to be the most comfortable I've ever ran in.My only concern is that the wear-tread is only one-half the thickness of the ones on Asics shoes, so I'm wondering if I'll be able to get the same sole-wear and mileage out of them. For sizing reference my foot length from back of heel to tip of large toe is 10-5/8 inches, which leaves 5/8-inch of distance to the inside tip of the shoe. My foot width at ball of foot at widest point is 4 inches.Aug 2021 update after 4 months and 550 miles: Still very comfortable. I am on my second pair but my first pair, although it has wear, has far less sole wear than any other running shoe I've ever had. In the third through fifth pictures you can see that there is some compression of the midsole but less than 1/16th of an inch of wear on outer sole/heel. In pretty much any other running shoe I've owned there would have been about 1/8th of an inch of wear off the edge of the heel. If I wear the old and new pairs right after each other I can tell that there is some breakdown in the cushioning on the edges of the midsole, but the center still feels the same. Another plus for me was that the achilles collar (inner heel) didn't wear through, which usually happens on at least one shoe out of a pair, because of my custom orthotics, especially because the right one has a 3/8th inch heel lift because of leg-length discrepancy. The only slight downside I've found is that putting them through a washing machine, which I do about every one or two weeks, causes a little more wear than I've ever seen on a pair of shoes. Most of my running is pretty much in straight lines on fairly flat ground, and for that this shoe is perfect. If I ran on trails on curved paths I'd probably go with the Glycerin 19 GTS with its additional side support.Overall I am very impressed with this shoe and will continue to buy this model as long as Brooks doesn't put it through an "un-improvement" update process like all running shoe companies seem to do once they come out with a great shoe.

Great product for Plantar Flasciitis
Not the cure but certainly goes along way to help. If you have Plantar Flasciitis and looking for some relief this along with a good disposable insert has helped a great deal with heal pain. The significant cushion in the heal provides support and a soft feel when walking. This also is a shoe (along with multiple others) that my Pediatrist recommended.Well made shoe, sharp look, and very comfortable. I normally take an 8.0 to and 8.5 USA shoe. I ordered a 9.0 and it is a perfect fit. This is my first time using a "Brooks" Shoe. Where this shoe is about $30 more than what I normally pay, I thought I would try this brand. My normal go-to shoe is New Balance.

Best running shoe I've ever owned, helped add distance to my runs.
I have never owned a pair of Brooks, I had always worn Nike's for running/working out. Nothing against Nike, but I wanted to try a more purpose made running shoe that was a bit more expensive. I'm not a marathon runner in any sense, just started getting into running in the last 2 years or so, and my max distance is about 3 miles. I immediately felt the difference in support and cushion in the Brook's, and just from running on a treadmill felt mush more comfortable. Went for a run outdoors, and was able to add 2 miles more to my route simply because neither my feet, ankles, knees, or hips were not sore at all even after the run, I felt like I could run it all again. There was no discomfort or pinching or anything like that, felt like I was running on nothing at all. Would highly recommend these for anyone looking for more comfort and support in a running shoe.

Cushion running shoe
4 to 5 miles everyday , the cushion is there you can feel it , your heel has les impact with the ground , the mesh that is made off keep feet drier then other running shoes I had , but with a good insole you will run longer and comfortably I have put already 345 miles on mine still look good but 400 miles they retire for walking still give that same comfort .

Runs Small
I don't want to take off more than 1 star because the shoe seems fine. But the fit is such a let down. I'm only a couple runs in, but this is the second pair of Brooks shoes that I've bought and been pretty disappointed with. I guess as much as I want to like this brand, it just doesn't agree with my feet. I normally wear a 10.5 shoe and started off getting size 11.5 running shoes based on the advice of a running shop employee. After a while I felt like 11.5 was too big and tried size 11 in some other brands (Hoka to name one) and it felt great. I tried the Ghost model last year and couldn't get on with the heel offset. Now I'm trying the Glycerin and sadly size 11 feels more like a size 10.Anyway, it's a fine shoe, even if it's small and the heel offset feels a bit too high for my taste.

This pair ran very small
My old pair are Glycerin 18's, in a size 9.5. I wanted the same shoe, but a bit larger, so I ordered a size 10. The new shoes are a half size larger, but are smaller than the 9.5's. My toes touch the very front of the shoe. I double-checked the label and they say size 10.I love my old Glycerin's. I hike either 4 or 5 mile hikes on semi-groomed desert trails. In my 70's, I need plenty of impact protection for my knees. These Glycerin 18's provide it. Temperatures are in the 90's here in the summer at 5AM, and the shoes let my feet breathe well. The shoes grip well, and are very comfortable. I got about 10 months out of them averaging 35 miles a week. The soles started peeling off recently (just the black part on the very bottom)I just want another pair of these great shoes, but don't know what size to order now.
