My fiance bought these as a novice runner. He says that they make a world of difference. He was having horrible shin splints and pain in his knees from running and he claims these really helped with that. They are lightweight and very supportive and soft on the insoles. The black and grey color of these are really nice and the woven material around the ankle is super comfortable. If you are a runner, these are a must.
I suffer from hip and knee pain and for years I’ve worn both Nike and New Balance shoes. But a physical therapist one day told me to try out a pair of Brooks. One pair was all it took. From day one wearing the Brooks shoes I noticed a significant reduction in pain. I bought a second pair, a third and so on. I’ve tried at times to wear again my Nike and New Balance shoes but I immediately notice my knees and hips hurting. So now it’s almost 100% Brooks. The only disappointment for me with Brooks has been the styling. Although “okay” I have always felt they were not as good looking as other brands. Until I found the Levitate 3’s. Levitate 3 in white is 100% Brooks but with great styling and looks. I get compliments all the time when wearing them. FYI. Brooks run about 1/2 size small, so order up a half size. But they are great shoes and for me have been a life changer. Now, I wished they made dress shoes.
I’m female and these fit great. I ordered my size (10). A little extra toe room so I can wear with thick socks and not have a toe pinch. So comfy! What I like best is...I have weak ankles and need sole support, these feel stable and hug my ankle. The shoes strings are stretchy for a perfect fit. I’d say they may run small, and suggest socks that come above shoe at the bottom of the ankle.
Brooks changed the heel in this model. Rubbed a blister on my first run. Once I changed to socks with a higher back, I had no issues. Otherwise, these are still very comfortable running shoes.
Great construction/materials. Ordered the menagerie that was equivalent to the women’s size I wear in Brooks shoes. Price was great. The blue was as advertised. Removable sole for inserting orthotics.
These are the first Brooks running shoes I have purchased (usually go with asics or mizuno). Although these are a little heavier of a shoe than I am used to by the numbers, I could not even tell. The shoe has a great comfortable feel and excellent bounce giving a lot of energy when I run. I have only run about 15 miles this week but we will see how their durability holds up with extended mileage. I like these a lot and will probably rotate Brooks into my shoe rotation for long distance running.
The shipping was very fast and I then took the shoes out of the package and put them on but had difficulty since I have a very high instep. I went for a walk and was not comfortable with the shoes. After I got home I noticed that the shoe flap is only loose halfway down so I loosened the tie strap below the flap. I then took another walk and the shoes felt more comfortable and I feel that the shoes will stretch some to make them more comfortable.
