Excellent Walking Shoe for Serious Mileage - Among My All-Time Favorites
As someone who walks 8-10 miles daily, I’ve tried many high-quality brands including Brooks, ON, and Hoka. This specific pair of Brooks Levitate 6 might be one of my all-time favorites.Fit and Comfort:These shoes fit exceptionally well right out of the box with no break-in period needed. The comfort level is outstanding even for my high-mileage daily walks. They’re very well-made with quality construction throughout.Performance:For serious walkers putting in serious miles, these deliver. This is my second pair of Brooks (first was the Ghost), size 10. If you don't mind the Christmas theme, these are a great pair of shoes. These have a little more bounce than the Ghosts and softer steps.

Comfortable but the sole CRACKS!
These are very comfortable for walking. HOWEVER - the sole will crack in a horizontal line after moderate use! It may be more prone to do that in the cold weather, I'm not sure. Also, the heal counter irritates by heals a bit. But so disappointed with the soles on both shoes cracking after 2 months of walking in them.

Extremely comfy yet very stable for seniors
I needed to replace shoes for long walks on concrete/asphalt. I wanted a 4-8mm drop and a wide toe box. I needed cushioning for my aging knees and flat feet, but don’t like super squishy shoes. I was replacing Hoka Challengers. The current iteration of that shoe no longer has a roomy toe box, so I was on the hunt. I also wanted a stable shoe. I like high drop Brooks, like the Trace3 and older model Ghost 11 for aerobics, so tried the low drop Ghost Max for my walks: too high of a stack and a rocking gait. I tried Hokas, New Balance, ASICS, sketchers arch fit, no luck. I finally found this Brooks Levitate. It’s got a 7-8 mm drop and comfy padding, but no crazy rocker gait. Perfect!
